Should Teachers Have Guns In Schools

I believe that teachers should have a choice, on whether they want to be trained and carry a gun on campus. I wouldn’t think that teachers such as Mrs. Gloria, or Ms. Dimplais would want to train for such thing. The teachers should have a choice if they want to do it or not. If they do, they have a better chance on coming home to their children/pets.

In fact, I think that if teachers were to be trained and carrying a gun, they should get a bonus every month. That is because, they have a chance to protect themselves more, and the kids on campus. As for training, that shouldn't be hard to do. All they teach them to do, is how to hold the gun, reload the gun, and how to aim the gun. I know this because my mother is trained to have a gun.

She works for Texas Parks and Wildlife and that is a requirement to have that job. As for the handgun license, teachers must have that with them too if they want to get an extra bonus. With teachers having guns, this should make the news, and shooters my see this and back off. By that just alone, we can prevent a massive shooting. When they carry a gun, they should have it with them, like the police officers do. Also having the gun, on a safety lock. If a student ever dares to touch the gun, they should be immediately put in DAEP.

In conclusion, teachers should have a choice on whether they want to carry a gun or not. It’s for everyone’s safety, and they should have the rights on whether they want to help take down that shooter. Because the cops aren't always here all the time. By that one second of them being across the street to get something to eat, any thing can happen within that little moment. But teachers should have a choice.
