Should Students Have Community Service To Graduate High School

Do you believe that students should have to do community service in order to graduate high school? I think that community service should be a requirement for high school graduation for many reasons. Community service is an important skill that people need to learn to be a better person in general. After doing something good for the community, it improves self image and changes the perspective that you have on life. Once community service pushes you to be active in the community, you realize that you have built character and matured because the way you look at things has been completely changed. Community service can completely change someone, and it is always a good change. There’s many things that you can do as community service, some examples are helping out at the homeless shelters, dog pounds, helping the elders, etc… Most are pretty easy and will help you graduate from high school and might even help you get into a better college.
