Feeling overworked and underpaid I set to work on my homework for the evening. Once again for the one millionth time; I wasted my evening doing my least favorite activity, homework. Homework and school are both something most everyone dreads. As summer comes to an end students have to head back to jail. If students have to go to school; they should at least be paid for it. Students should get paid money to go to school and do homework because school teaches students, they become overwhelmed with school work, and they know how they feel about school.
School teaches students how to survive out in the real world. By going to school, students all over the world are benefiting society. Getting an education makes a person an advocate to society. Having an educated society means that the world will in general, be a smarter place. With the world being a smarter place, we can accomplish the things that are needed to survive and make it in this world.

Students become overwhelmed with school work and we feel as if teachers do not care.
Every night of the school year us students go home with our backpacks heavily weighed down with homework. When we get home from school, all we want to do is cry our eyes out because of all the homework. After finishing the homework from all of our seven classes our heads are about to explode. Doing homework is not the only reason we should be paid, during our classes teachers expect us to use our brain and follow along.
Students know how they feel about school and homework. Teachers, administrators, and principals do not know how we as students feel about school. We as students know that we do not like school (most of us anyways) therefore if we are attending school despite dreading it and hating it should get paid money. If we are still attending school although we dislike it, we have overcame a humongous obstacle, and should be recognized for it. Us students should be recognized for attending school by receiving
money. Getting paid would be like an initiative to attend school and do well in school. Getting paid would make everyone more enthusiastic about going to school. Maybe students would pay attention more in class and learn something if they got paid. Maybe students would be excited to go back to school after summer break. Students should get paid to attend school because school teaches students, they become overwhelmed with school work, and they know how they feel about school.
The first major step in healing America’s exhausted teenagers is to reduce the amount of homework they receive. Kids from the ages of fourteen to twenty-two alike are expected to play sports, join clubs, and hang out with friends – all on top of an average of three and a half hours of h...
When you think about school one of the first things that pops into people’s mind is homework. Basically if you have asked your parents or your grandparents they would say that they remember the homework load. Now we all know that homework can be beneficial but also can be very unhealthy with all of the stress that it causes. Over the years the homework load has increased because of the fact that schools think that they need to try to keep up with other countries in academics. And will doing all of this homework now be all for nothing later? The homework load has increased these past couple of years and it is causing a lot of stress on kids and overall is not helping their academics in the long run.
First off, students should be paid for having good grades because it encourages them to work harder. They would learn that goals can be achieved with hard work, and hard work has rewards in the end. Many studies have proven that people work harder when they are getting something out of it. For instance, if students were to receive the new iphone 6 plus when they receive an A on their next test, they would try harder and
There have been so many studies recently that talk about how homework has started to become more burdensome for more students. The United States has gone from teaching to shoving homework in kids’ faces to keep them on the idea that school is always there. Classes have been extended from 45 minutes each day to an hour and a half. This was supposed to allow students work time at the end of classes and get help when needed. Instead, teachers lecture from beginning to end. This gives no time for students to get the help they need when can’t come in any other time. The rationale has changed in America that doing more, always means doing better. This, however, can be the downfall to anything. There can’t be homework assigned just for busy work, that becomes a waste of time. The homework needs to be assigned as a thoughtful way to engage students, so they know what is being
College students should get paid when they play, because of their hardwork and determination. The schools benefit from the students and should compensate them for participating in a sport where they give up so much of their lives. The college sports organizations should also share their wealth and stop taking advantage of these talented individuals. I really hope one day that everyone stands up for the welfare of college
Depending on the opportunities offered by an education develops a just and dignified society . Education is very important for the individual growth and plays a key role in the advancement of civilizations, in their social relationships, their beliefs, their economy and their artistic creations.
Students should be paid for having good grades. According to Psychology Today the United States has fallen behind other nations in education. In addition to this, approximately every one in four students in the U.S. drops out of school before graduation. The main reason for this is that students have little to no motivation. Students are either bored by school, or they are distracted by the other things that go on in their lives such as sports, jobs, friends and their own family life. Although learning has its own rewards, some students respond better to money. This essay explains how students will be paid and the reasons that they should receive money for getting good grades. Some reasons that students should be paid are: if students received rewards for having good grades fewer students would drop out, graduates would be better educated, people would seek higher education, less crime would be committed, less people would rely on the government and graduates would be more qualified for better jobs.
People don’t work their hardest for no money, so why would students try their hardest in school for no reward except praise. Praise isn’t enough anymore now days. Students right now will be the running the world in about 6 short years. Students should get paid for good grades because it’s how it gonna be when they older you work hard and get work done you get paid. “Cash-for-grades programs may jump-start students’ motivation by providing real-world rewards for their effort and performance “ (greatschool staff).
The stressful school year has begun and the homework immediately starts to pile up. Some people might think hours of homework every night is necessary in helping students continue to learn and progress in that specific subject. “...homework can ensure that they are learning well morning, noon and night”, understanding that some adults want students to learn every night to ensure they know the material, however in most cases the overloading of homework tends to do the opposite. The rising problem starts to surface a lot during the years of fifth grade to high school. Complaining of homework starts to be the regular topic of interest in every conversation. Understanding that this can also be seen as students being lazy and not wanting to work, but the excessive amount every night in every subject
In conclusion, students should be paid to do well in school because it has many benefits to the student. Those benefits include motivation to get good grades, the money would help the student financially, and the student would learn how to manage their money more effectively. School is a big part of every person’s life, so it should be more rewarding to the
Some of these beliefs include that hard work builds character and responsibility. This creates the illusion that homework that is strenuous and time consuming often appears to be more academic than homework that is fun and engaging which is often seen as less meritful. This leads some teachers to assign “busy work” rather than new and exciting homework ideas (“Rethinking Homework”). The problem lies when people judge homework based on these values rather than academic worth. Homework should be an opportunity for students to grow scholastically; However, teachers settle for unengaging work that has minimal impact on a student’s education due to fallacies of larger work loads’ correlation to academic capability. Although homework may benefit some select students, action must be taken against it, including the removal of homework, the restraint of homework, and the monitoring of homework to reduce stress and allow more personal time for
Should High School Students be Paid for Having Good Grades? Students and how well they do in different subjects taught at a high school is a primary concern for many high schools and school boards around Canada. A student’s primary goal is to good grades in high school so he/she can progress to post secondary education. However, there aren’t very strong motives for some students to get good grades in school.
Introduction: I would let kids have money if they worked for it so they could buy something and would have to work more to get more money and then save up all their money for college so they could get a good education because i want a good job and earn some money.
“Paying students can help them understand why they need to work hard in life. It can also help them learn how to enjoy frustrating activities like jobs.” , a quote from W.M.MC Govern. Students who work in school should get paid, but also students who don’t do so well get motivated to do better knowing there is a prize. If good grades got students paid, their teacher could use that time to teach them about budgeting and saving. It also offers money to low income kids, and raise test scores.
If students were paid for grades, there would be less money for field trips and other school activities. Many of these students aren’t on track to graduate from high school, much less go on to college. New York City’s Spark program (now in its second year), awards fourth- and seventh-graders cash for high achievement on a series of math and reading tests throughout the year. A fourth-grader can earn up to $250 a year, while a seventh-grader can earn up to $500 (Greatschools Staff,
