Should Refugees Be Allowed In America?

What is a refugee? A refugee is someone who has been forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution, and disaster. This happens because if a country is going through war, it makes it hard to live there under the circumstances to live there and this causes refugees to want to take shelter in America. Refugees should not be welcomed into America because America has its own problems to deal with. Refugees would not only incite fear into our community’s but they also increase the chance of terrorism, insufficient space, drain us of our resources and cause chaos within our borders.

To begin with refugees would cause chaos in America because people would see them as a threat and would act upon it. What this means is that racism

In a recent study it is proven that out of all the refugees America has recently accepted into its borders, none have committed an act of terrorism(Willingham). That goes without saying that it is still a very real possible threat that refugees can be members the active terrorist group called ISIS. There is still that possibility and if we can do anything to reduce that possibility would it not be in the best interest to reduce the chances? Even if we did allow refugees to come into the United States it would not be worth it for America. If they were to allow them in we would have less resources. These resources including water, food, shelter, and money. If the refugees were to settle in America, the country would have to shelter them and provide them with food and water so they could make a home here. Now others might say it is the right thing to do but it does not benefit America in any way because we would be giving without getting anything in return. All those resources that could be used for our military, homes, and society's would be given to someone who is foreign to America and has done nothing to deserve it, so in the end it would not benefit.

In conclusion refugees should not be allowed to be given shelter in America because there is still that chance. Out of the thousands of refugees who entered the U.S there is the chance that we will be terrorized. So would you take the chance of harming other people’s lives just because you chose to let refugees
