Should Kraigen Grooms Serve Time For His Crimes

How would you feel if your child was raped by someone that later had no charges filed

against them.  Well, this is a case of  a 17 year old boy from Iowa  who committed one of the

most horrific crimes you could visualize.  He was later released and didn’t serve a day in prison.   

Should Kraigen Grooms serve time for his crime? Did the judge make the right decision on

letting another white male go on these charges? If this continues to happen will the mindset of

the world change?

    If white males continue to commit these atrocious crimes will more people follow those

paths? It’s clear that the United States has a past of white supremacy but is it still alive today?

Yes, white supremacy is still alive all over the United States.  We have white males being let go

on a two year sentence when they kill someone, however when an African American man

commits this crime he serves twenty years.  Obviously the justice system favors white males.  In

the most recent cases Stanford superstar swimmer Brock Turner raped an unconscious women

and was free of all charges.

Kraigen Grooms, a seventeen year old boy from Ohio rapes a two

year old and serves two years in juvenile hall while if an African American boy committed this

crime he would serve thirty years minimally.  As you can see America hasn’t changed.  The only

thing America is changing is the mindset of white males.

    The idea of a white male wanting to commit an atrocious crime is okay in today’s Justice

System.  He’ll just end up claiming he has mental illness and he requires mental health treatment.  

Am I right or am I wrong? If a muslim man/woman were to kill  someone it would be considered

terrorism.  However if a white man shot up a church and killed over sixty people he is apparently

psychologically ill.  It’s how America perceives  races and religions.  If this continues America

will be a complete purge.  Kraiger rapes a two year old and gets let go on low charges.  He

doesn’t serve a day in jail.  What makes you think he won’t commit this crime again?  What

makes you think another white male won’t commit this crime if he knows nothing bad

will

happen.  How do we change the mindset of people? How do we stop this before something else

happens?

   The country might not be in the best place considering how many major conflicts the United

States is witnessing at the time.  Just because we aren’t in the best situation we can be in doesn’t  

mean we should continue down this path.  Judges can help out to start.  They can treat everyone

equal and have white people serve the same sentence for the same crime committed.  One person

makes in impact believe it or not.  This country is based on the ideas of freedom however we

don’t exemplify freedom in our actions.

      I  honestly can’t tell you just yet what will happen in the world. I don’t know if their mindset

will change in years to come. I hope for the best for this country however if we continue down

this road it’s not hard to foresee our future. I wouldn’t feel good if my child was raped by

someone who didn’t serve any prison  time. Judges need to start making a difference in this world by

abolishing white supremacy in the courtroom. If this continues the crimes will continue. The

world is going downhill however it’s not too late to make a change!
