Recommended: Essay on Heroism and the notion of sacrifice

In the book Tom sawyer, Tom sawyer and Huckleberry Finn went to a graveyard because Huck said if they take dead cat over there it will cure there warts. Once they got over there Tom and Huck saw lights from the distance and they both hide so they were not caught by the mysterious figures in the distance and thought that it might be demons. Then it ended up being Doctor Robinson, Muff potter, and Injun Joe. Muff got mad and ended up arguing with Robinson because of payment issues and Muff gets hit unconscious, then Joe kills Robinson and blames it on Muff and then Muff was sent to jail for no reason. They decided not tell the sheriff because they were scared they were going to get murdered by Injun Joe but, they should tell the sheriff for many …show more content…

First they will be able to get Muff out of jail because they knew what happened because they experienced what happen in person. Next they would be able get Injun Joe prison for what he killing Doctor Robinson and get him in jail for murder and lying. Lastly they would save and incent mans life for telling the sheriff what happened. Tom and Huck don’t want to tell the sheriff because they are scared they will get killed by Injun Joe but they are wrong for many reason. First if they tell the sheriff they will find Injun Joe before he will be able to get a hold of Tom and Huck, even though it would be wrong to tell the sheriff because they made an oath not it wouldn’t matter because they would save be saving a man's life. Second he will be in jail by the time he figures out about Tom and Huck tell on him. Then finally he’ll most likely be hung for murdering Doctor Robinson. My finally reason why they should tell the sheriff is because most people will appreciate them for what they did. The first reason is they would be appreciated for saving Muff Potter life and getting him out of jail for being innocent. Second it would be one less murder to worry about because he would either be staying in jail or get a death sentence for kill Doctor Robinson. Then lastly they would forgiven for what they did in the past and will be remembered for the good deed they

    First off, I would like to ask you if you think Huckleberry Finn should be banned from society? With that question in mind I would like to tell you why it should not. The Novel Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, according to an offended citizen, that the novel "should be removed from schools curriculum and expunged from public library shelves." This novel is already banned from all black schools and Christian schools for the profusely use of the "N" word and the insults of religion by Mark Twain. The "N" was used over 200 times throughout the course of the novel. Also, the actions of Huck and other negative characters in the novel does not help plead my case on why I disagree with this citizen. I disagree with this citizen and I think it should be allowed in schools curriculum and in libraries because it is a classic American novel and it shows how America has evolved as a nation. Huck Finn lies profusely in the novel, depicts African Americans negatively or using the "N" word, and his attitude is a negative influence on children today.
