Gay marriage has been opposed countless times on local, state, and national levels. “Almost two- thirds of Republicans oppose the Supreme Court’s backing of gay marriage, according to Reuters/Ipsos Poll ” (Reuters). Even though another online survey stated that “more than half of Americans support it,” they still
In conclusion, same sex marriage is not a problem; the problem is how we can live together with it. I’m a Christian so basically, I don’t support gay marriage but when I think about human right, I feel it is not a dangerous problem for us. If they love each other, let them marry and they will solve that problem by themselves. Who knows after gay law is passed, no one want to marry with same sex person any more. So just let it is solve by itself.

The gay rights movement has been a shadow throughout history, recently coming to light in a growing fight for equality. Gay pride rallies frequent the news, and a recent Supreme Court decision allowing same-sex marriage has shaken the roots of what many consider tradition in America. Only a determined community, one tired of being denied basic rights, could make this stunning change. However, such an achievement was years in the making, lead with chart-topping songs, documentaries, interviews, and best-selling books to broaden horizons. One of the most influential songs was a rap written and performed by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis which includes a chorus sung by Mary Lambert. Macklemore’s accurate incorporation of the struggle for gay rights with powerful lyrics and a moving music
Within America’s society today, 3.8 percent of the population is gay, lesbian, or bisexual. With only 17 of the 50 states legalizing and recognizing this type of relationship (“History…”), it puts a stronghold on same-sex couples to publicly declare their love with the promise of marriage. Same-sex marriages should be legalized because everyone has equal rights of freedom and liberty.
As Americans our country was founded on freedom that means any couple should have the right to get married no matter what gender. 1989 San Francisco domestic partnership Laws are passed. This was denied to them before this, A domestic partnership is an interpersonal relationship between two individuals who live together and share a common domestic life but are not married. This leads to a wave of additional Laws ensuring equal rights for all in regards to marriage. Homosexual couples should have the right to get married.

I believe that same sex marriage should not have to be legalized. It should be something that is normal; However, It is not. Presently, there are organizations in multiple states trying to influence the government to legalize same sex marriage. Honestly, I’m all for it. Like Frank Ocean says “Marriage should be between love and love…Not a man and a woman.”

And among Catholics and white mainline Protestants, roughly six-in-ten now express support for same-sex marriage. Support for same-sex marriage among black Protestants and white evangelical Protestants remains lower than among other religious groups. In conclusion I argue that banning same-sex marriage is discriminatory. It is discriminatory because it denies homosexuals the many benefits received by heterosexual couples. The right to marriage in the United States has little to do with the religious and spiritual meaning of marriage. It has a lot to do with social justice, extending a civil right to a minority group. This is why I argue for same-sex marriage. The freedom to marry regardless of gender preference should be allowed.
Gay and lesbian unions have been for a long time a subject that no one liked to discuss. For the last few decades, gays and lesbians have come out and expressed their sexuality preferences. Many believe that same sex marriage should not be legalized because it's against the moral. It's against the definition of marriage, which is considered as the union of a man and a woman as a husband and wife. Same sex marriage should be legalized because the way society views the union of lesbian and gays can a change. Another reason why same sex marriage should be legalized is that children that are issued from a gay or lesbian couple will be loved and raised in a family that is legally recognized under the law. Lesbians and gays also deserve to have the same rights as heterosexuals.
Recently, Same Sex Marriage has become a major issue in the United States. There are variations in opinions concerning the topic. The main concern is should same sex marriage be allowed or declared unconstitutional. Plenty of conservatives are completely against gay marriage and many of liberals are fighting for equal treatment. Many controversies and arguments have developed from this issue. There are many reasons why gay marriage should be legal or illegal.
On June 26, 2015, the US Supreme Court ruled that the US Constitution guarantees the right for same-sex couples to marry. Should gay marriages be legal? Clearly we as a nation are undecided on this issue. Thirty-six states have passed legislation banning gay marriages, yet a few states have passed laws that allows homosexual couples the right to participate in civil unions. Several other states are also debating whether or not to allow these couples to marry. Unfortunately, the dispute has left the United States' homosexual community in an awkward position. There are some people who think that gay people have no rights and should never be allowed to marry, and others believe that gay people should enjoy the same rights and privileges as heterosexuals. I think that the United States should allow same-sex couples to marry just like heterosexual couples.
