Literacy is the ability to read and write. Some people think that teaching cursive writing is frustrating. But it is 50% of literacy. Cursive writing may help those with special needs, keeps our brains active in old age, and we still use it today. In my opinion, cursive should be taught in schools because it can help kids that can’t write regular writing.
First of all, it may help those with special needs. Those kids out there that write bad they would probably be good for using cursive. And they would probably get used to it and do it more often. Also, if kids or adults can’t write regular handwriting they can use cursive because it’s probably better for them if they try. If they need a different writing tool they can use to write in cursive. When we get older are brains are working memories from back then to see how they did cursive in schools when they were kids and they can still know how to write in cursive and they can get better sense they are older. Another, reason why is because we visualize how we do cursive and it can still be on one of our stuck in one of are left or right brain. Makes us integrate knowledge so we can remember cursive for the rest of our lives. Then, it inspires creativity so like when you’re older and you know cursive you can make stuff with it and make something really cool with just using cursive.
