Many people have thoughts about whther childrne should play creatively or organized. Some think children should have organized activities. In my opinion children should play creatively.
My first reason is that children should choose their own activities. This gives them the freedom to express themselves through their actions. With organized activites, children have to deal with schedules, parental control, and rules. Creative play allows kids to express who they are with the activities they want to choose. As children open up their minds, they are able to learn skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, and independence.
My second reason is that children are able to develop social skills through creative group

An Article by Dr. Leong and Dr. Bodrova (2016) stated that play is beneficial to children’s learning especially when it reaches a certain degree of complexity. When they engage in play activities most of their early years, they learn to delay gratification and to prioritize their goals and actions. They also learn to consider the perspectives and needs of other people and to represent things significantly to regulate their behavior and actions in a cautious, intentional way.
All children play and it is something that most children do because they are having fun, but without realising children are developing and learning skills when they are engaged in play. Play helps stimulate the mind as it is practical and gives children the chance to explore and experience new situations. It can also ensure that children get to think by themselves and be spontaneous as they control their own play. Children get the chance to be creative and imaginative which develops independence for children. Play is vital for child development and helps children develop five main areas of development:
Thinking back on my childhood, I first remember all the times I played outside in my backyard. I would pretend to dig up dinosaur bones or create imaginary realms of ancient lands; there I would perform diplomatic services for the people in need. I was usually alone, and those are some of my fondest memories. When I first decided to become a teacher and thought about what is important to my philosophy on how children learn, I immediately knew I was a strong believer in play. Although, many decision makers such as legislators and school district leaders believe in more academic types of learning styles, my paper will discuss why play is so powerful and important to children.
What is play? Play is defined as engaging in activates for enjoyment & recreation rather than a serious practical purpose. Playing is a disorganized voluntary spontaneous activity, which may include objects, one’s body, symbol usage, and relationships. Play is flexible, individualize, grouped, motivating, self-directed, open-ended, or self-directed. (Smith, 2013) (Saskatchewan Ministry of Education, 2010)
...ctive. Play is an essential learning tool and one that must not be ignored within the classroom. It is a catalyst to help children develop socially, emotionally, physically and cognitively. It is not only an important part of a child’s development as a pupil but also a child’s development as an individual.
The creation of art, music, dance, sporting activity and literature should be made a fundamental part of every school 's pre-K to 12th grade curriculum. The creation art it’s very important for children from their early age, a lot of benefits children can do and learn through art. A lot of benefits they can receive:
As a child, no matter where you grew up or what race you are, you had fun. Obviously not all of the time, as you have responsibilities at all ages and times of your life, but children still have fun. May it be playing with dolls, joining a club, or playing sports, children find a way to enjoy themselves. As well as any aged human, children are creative. Some children might be more creative than others, but all children have a sense of creativity. Being creative can be a positive or a negative feature of a person, as creativity could cause you to find crafty ways to get around the law, while it is also possible to use your creativity to solve problems in stressful situations that could be potentially life threatening. As a child, you
The following is a review of the article “Elaborated Role Play and Creativity in Preschool Age Children.” (Mottweiler & Taylor, 2014). The article discusses research that was conducted to evaluate the impact role play has on the creativity of children. The following describes the purpose of the research, the methods the researchers used, and an interpretation of their findings. I will also discuss how the findings relate to development and will conclude with a reflection on how my experiences relate to this study

it provides different play and children can face new skills and challenges. outdoor play does not just mean the garden, it progresses further for example, the park, walks, shopping malls, day trips out and much more. it gives children the opportunity for healthy exercise and the opportunity to learn more about the world and nature. To begin with, children will have less restrictions than being indoors, they have more space as large scale play can be provided. It also allows children to be able to use all of their senses, sight, hearing, smells, and they can enjoy the sense of being free and not restricted indoors. Being outdoors means the play is often open ended and furthermore children can play in different types of weather. The outdoor play encourages children to use their imagination and be creative with the resources at hand. Outdoor play often goes well with indoor play as it provides different experiences, however it is also important to remember that after outdoor play there also needs to be quiet play/areas for
Creative Arts in early childhood education refers to children’s participation in a variety of activities that engage their minds, bodies and senses (Sinclair, Jeanneret & O’Toole, 2012; Kearns, 2017); to inspire all children with the opportunity for creative and imaginative expression. Duffy (2006) and Sinclair et al. (2012) state that creativity is the process where children use their imagination to problem solve, develop new ideas, independence and flexibility to accomplish tasks. Furthermore, when educators foster creativity, they are assisting children in making meaning through play and developing their growing capacity to communicate, collaborate and think critically to meet the demands of life in the 21st century (Duffy, 2006; Korn-Bursztyn, 2012; Sinclair et al., 2012).
Play is a very important part of a child’s social and cognitive developmental process. It is an entertaining way that will help children learn, engage in new experiences, gain self-confidence and mature emotionally while still keeping their attention. It is a way for children to use their creativity while building their imagination, physical, cognitive and emotional strength. It is how early aged children begin to interact with the world and engage within the environment around them.
