Although many people are in support of these two multibillion dollar industries, some people feel as though that alcohol and tobacco should get banned from society.

Should alcohol and tobacco be banned? Alcohol and tobacco are offensive and negatively influence the people of the world. These drugs should be illegalized because they damage the body, kill many people worldwide each year, and ruin relationships.

Even though alcohol has some health benefits (if used moderately) such as: increasing “good” HDL cholesterol level, reducing the risks of ulcers, heart disease, strokes, developing gallstones, diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease and etc. However, it can do severe damage to the body if it is drunk radically.

Excessive use of alcohol can cause kidney damage, liver cirrhosis, high blood pressure, cancers, strokes, abnormal heart rhythms, brain damage, stomach ulcers, birth defects, arthritis, hyperglycemia, hypoglycemia, malnutrition, nervous disorders, obesity, psychological disturbances, premature aging, and etcetera.
