In high school, I achieved an abundance of short term goals such as getting into National Honor Society, and getting my first job, and being accepted to the college of my choice. With each of these goals came a valuable lesson that I have learned. The most important lesson I have learned with each accomplishment is; just because I made it this far, does not mean my journey is over yet. With this in mind, I am going to further my education beyond high school at Hampton University with a new set of short and long terms goals to reach for. These goals include being accepted into Hampton’s School of Pharmacy, graduating with my PharmD degree, and eventually working for a successful pharmaceutical company. In order to reach these goals, I will need not only mental support, but also financial support from my family, church, and community. …show more content…
Between the stressful schedules and pricey cost to attend to the difference between getting a job and not getting it was a high school diploma or a college degree. I am interested in furthering my education through college and eventually graduate school, because I believe and know that my degree will give me the best possible chance to be successful in whatever I choose to do after I graduate. I’m confident that I will not only be able to put in an excess amount of time and effort, but be able to surpass the goals I am setting for myself. Being considered for this scholarship will aid me on my path to success. I’m committed to making a great name for myself and to being a role model to those who are younger than
Upon the completion of my high school career I was faced with the sudden realization that I was growing up and on the verge of becoming independent. A few months prior, I had applied to Montana State and received my acceptance letter. The future was before me and my ambitions were truly limitless. That is, until the fact set in that I was going to have to pay for this education that I desired. I knew that with my busy schedule, I would be unable to make enough money while only working a few hours here and there. I was beginning to lose sight of hope. Then one day I talked to my counsellor about what I could do and he pointed me towards dozens of scholarships that I could apply for. The exigence or purpose
My goal since my toddler years has been to be a hero. Today, I cannot envision myself doing anything else. My long-term goal since the beginning of high school has been to contribute to the biomedical sciences, whether it is as a researcher, a surgeon, or a clinical physician. I aspire to make change, even the smallest improvement in anyone’s life.
I believe pursuing the Doctor of Pharmacy degree immensely relates to both my immediate and long term goals. Something I like to live by is to always challenge yourself because if you keep doing what is easy, you will never advance or become better. It has already been a challenging path and I know it will get harder, but challenging myself in school is my immediate goal, and I know it will be worth it down the road. It also helps to keep things interesting. I know I would make a fantastic pharmacist, and so I make it a goal to challenge myself every day in everything I do including my education.
I know that through my hard work and dedication I can make my goals a reality. However, it may not be possible without these Scholarships. While my parents will help me in any way they can, I am hoping that my hard work and dedication to my studies pays off. I am a very self-driven individual who will accomplish any goal I set my mind on achieving. I am also aware of how without scholarships I may face a financial setback. I am hoping that through the help of scholarships I will be able to achieve all my goals in a timely
My Senior year in High School has officially begun, only one more year at Corona High. I know that Senior year is supposed to be fun, but I believe every year is an opportunity to improve. I have already set my goals for this school year. I believe I can achieve a GPA of 4.0 or above. However, there are some personal goals that I need to complete first. I need to stop my terrible habit of procrastinating. Another goal of mine is to pass my AP tests so I can earn college credit. I also want to learn new things, so I started to learn the basics of Coding, now I need to finish this course. These are some things I look to accomplish this year.
As my high school career ends, I notice increasingly how much life that I have yet to live and the opportunities available to me in the years ahead. The past four years have been great preparation for my future endeavors, but college is the path leading to my full potential. In order to reach the end of this path, I utilize my most valuable trait—determination—to set short and long-term goals and achieve them. It is with this “can do” spirit—like the one my grandpa, a former Navy Seabee, evinces through his stories—that I have set my personal goals: to volunteer my time in service to others, further develop leadership skills through experiential learning, and excel at my school work no matter how challenging it may seem. Though these may be difficult to maintain, I have faith that my optimistic attitude will enable me to prevail over the challenges I am certain to face.
In a world where most college freshmen do not graduate or dropout, i feel like it would mean to much more to me to graduate and be able to say I got my degree. studies have said that half of freshman will not complete there degree, another study said that 25% of freshmen will change their major before they finish their sophomore year. If i was given this scholarship money it would put me in a place where hopefully I won't become just another statistic. Another reason a college degree is important for me to achieve is so that i will be respected in my work industry of choice. When you are in a place of work, there is always someone who everyone looks up to because they know the most about certain things, but more often than not that person has the highest degree in his or her field. If I was awarded this scholarship i would be more capable of being that person because i would not have to worry about leaving school to figure out how I will pay off my
In my opinion, I believe that I am right on track of accomplishing my four year plan A through G requirements. In addition, I definitely believe that I have a plan for my next three years of high school. Furthermore, I am certain that I would graduate high school. Without a doubt, I am in the path of accomplish all my academic goals and extracurricular goals. Not to mention, my goal does not stop at graduating high school, but as well as meeting all the requirements to be accepted in UCs after high school.
I plan to graduate from College of the Sequoias with an Associate’s Degree in communications and to maintain a grade point average of at least a 3.7. Once I earn my degree, I will transfer to a university where I will begin to work on my master’s degree. With my master’s degree I can pursue my dream of working for Disney Parks in public relations. While I am still a college student, I will apply and hopefully be given the opportunity to participate in the Disney College Program as well as a Disney Professional Internship. These internships will help me to learn more about working in the field of communications, to gain practical experience and to network with individuals who can help me achieve my career goals. A scholarship would be incredibly helpful for me to achieve all that I intend to by allowing me to devote more time to my school work. Since I currently work two jobs, as a tutor and as a sales associate, it is often difficult to find time and energy to complete my schoolwork. If I were to earn a scholarship, it would allow me to work fewer hours a week so that I can focus more of my energy and time on my education. That way, I can get the best grades possible and have the best chance of success in my
I need this scholarship to achieve my goals and most importantly to make my family proud. My family did not get this chance that you are giving me so I am not just doing this for me, I am also doing this for them. I already have all the support from all of my family and all of my friends, but that alone is not enough to conquer my dreams, and to prove all the people that have doubted me that they were wrong. I hope that this organization can help me reach my goals, and to most importantly make them become a reality. I want to look back onto my life and know that this scholarship, and college helped me to be the man I will be. I hope you accept me into your college and most importantly giving me this
My goals in college are to get involved with student government, play lacrosse graduate in the top of my class all my life of being in school I was always active not just a regular student. Whether it was SGA or sports or volunteer work I was a part of it; all years of school levels I have graduated with honors and I do not want to see anything different now while I am in college. As we all know college is not a walk in the park and I am well aware of that. I have to really be on my game to accomplish my goal of graduating with honors. I am already on the way of my goal, I have already completed 3 business courses and am now on the process of taking one now. I have taken business law, introduction of business, and industrial business; I did not take them at Towson however they still transferred over as business courses.
There are many strengths and essential skills that are needed to be successful in obtaining educational goals. One that I feel that is my greatest strength in obtaining my educational goals is that I am hardworking. Being hardworking is an important skill to have during college because it shows that I am willing to put in the effort to succeed in my educational and career goals. Being hardworking also shows that I strive to be the best I can be through being organized, having a good work ethic, and being focused. This scholarship would allow me to fulfill the educational goals that I have set for myself.
Throughout high school, I have achieved and strived for many goals. Everything I have done in high school such as sports, clubs, and community service, is all leading up to my future after high school. Although I only have a few short months left as a senior, I still have many goals I am determined to accomplish. For example, this spring I will be finishing my fourth and final season of tennis; consequently, I am working hard because I would like to make it out of sectionals. There are myriad educational goals I also need to complete before I graduate.
A lot of people have so many goals. Goals they would like to carry out and succeed. This kind of lifespan takes a lot of time to meet. Think about having a positive mind to get through a success goal. My first goal is graduating high school.
Facing my fears and overcoming my stage fright was indeed a definite challenge, however, my teachers in elementary school were the first ones to believe in me even when I did not. They enhanced my confidence, taught me how to be a leader, and also inspired me to be a hard-working student. McFee elementary ultimately gave me the lifelong tools that I still use even to this day where I am now currently number two in my class while I also hold leadership positions in various club organizations. With all the aid that my elementary school teachers have endowed upon me, I am thus influenced to seek a profession where I will also be there to give a helping hand to others. As a pharmaceutical scientist, my dream career will remind me everyday of how I, just like my previous school teachers, are changing the lives of all those that I encounter. Without my initial years at McFee Elementary, I would not have gained the assets and skills needed to obtain the current success I have worked so diligently for, to confidently walk across that stage on graduation day, and to ultimately step into my
