Once upon a time, there was a fox named Foxleen who lived in Destin Florida. Foxleen loves people, she is always happy, she absolutely adores other animals, Foxleen likes sitting out in the sun and loves going to the beach. Foxleen has a house in a tropical area in a low populated area on the outskirts of Destin, near the beach. She has to walk five minutes to the beach, Foxleen usually picks up her other friends on the way to the beach. They all love sitting out in the sun and so, they go there as much as they can. The beach is one of the nicest in Florida with many shells. It was Wednesday, the day that they go. It’s when they are all free. As they walked up to dip their toes in the water a flock of seagulls came over and greeted them, …show more content…
She came to the top of the sand and peeked over to make sure nobody was there. Sure enough, everybody was inside getting their rest. She started walking next to the beach at where the tide came in, listening to the waves hit the water. It was a peaceful night until she fell over something and landed with a thud. Something moaned and she hoped it wasn’t a human or else she would have been sent to animal control like that. A figure stood up and Foxleen soon recognized it was another fox. “My name is Foxy,” the other fox said with his hand out for Foxleen to shake. Foxleen and Foxy had an instant connection, they talked until the sun came up. Foxleen then said her goodbyes and started walking back up the beach. Foxy had a desire to be with Foxleen and couldn’t let her walk away without knowing if they would meet again. Foxy walked up to her and started walking with her. She didn’t care one bit and played along with it. He asked Foxleen why she didn’t stay in the daylight and she explained to him why and what would happen if she got caught. Foxy was so surprised to hear that the humans could be that mean. He was also surprised that she had never heard of the animal beach that was a couple miles down the beach from where they were. Foxy took Foxleen to the beach and to her surprise there were many animals there including her friends. They ran up to her to
Todd Jesdale, the experienced soul of our coaching squad, is an adroit man in seemingly all aspects of life, especially of those pertaining to rowing. He crushed me.
Jim had just turned 30 and was feeling depressed for not having anyone in his life. After dozing on the beach awhile Jim awoke to an “unmistakable odor”, he’d been pissed on.(1108) He first heard Alena’s voice after cursing the dog. Alena is a very attractive girl and Jim fell for her immediately. Alena and Jim left the beach to go clean the piss off his clothes at Alena’s house. While waiting for the clothes to dry, they began a conversation about animal rights. Animal rights are a huge issue in Alena’s life. Jim never paid much attention to the issue but because of Alena’s beauty and kindness he was willing to listen.
In this poem Mark O’Connor closely observes turtles hatching and contemplates the ritual that turtles share with the beach. This poem also has close connotations to life cycle and family.
Laura channels a hyper-attentive, almost frenetic energy into monitoring a sick dolphin at an animal rescue lab. She rides the ferry back and forth across the bay late at night. She steals bottles of nail polish, slashes at her palms and wrists with seashells, and throws sweet tea in the face of a stranger who tells her “I’m still just so broken up about your boy.”

...om her mother and transported to a pet store where she was locked in a cage until she was purchased by my friend Hailey. I want you to think about her excitement to have a home and Hailey’s excitement to have a new pet to love. Now I want you to think about Hailey receiving the devastating news that her puppy had to be euthanized and Daisy’s fear as she was taken from her owner’s hands and put to death.
The girl knew that if she did not find a water source, she would soon be dehydrated along with the golden dog. As she imagined the horrible death of her and her loyal dog, a gust of wind blew from the east, covering every inch of her body in sand. She will have to spend quite a while to get rid of the sand on her and to brush through the fur of the golden dog. By the time the girl h...
So the next day I had already made the claws of the first foxes twice as big, but that’s when it happened, “WOOSH”, the window burst open and all of my potions fell to the ground with a huge crash. The only one that didn’t fall was the unstable one. I was so mad that I grabbed the unstable potion and threw it at the wall. But what I didn’t know was that it hit a cage that was holding a Snowy Owl witch I was working on earlier that week. The Snowy Owl shot out of the cage like a bullet and attacked an Arctic Fox that was playing around on the floor. All of a sudden the
The girl took great pride in the fact that she helped her father with the chores on the farm. Her main chore was to water the foxes. Laird would help with a small watering can though he would usually spill most of his water. The girl would also help her father when he would cut the long grass around the fox pens. He would cut it and she would rake it up. He would then throw the grass on top of the pens to keep the sun off of the foxes. The entire fox pen was well thought out and well made. The foxes were fed horsemeat, which could be bought very cheap. When a farmer had a dying horse her father would pay for the horse and slaughter it. Her father was very ingenious with his fox farm and the girl was obviously impressed. She was proud to work with her father. One time while her father was talking to a salesman he said, “Like you to meet my new hired man.” That comment made her so happy, only to have the salesman reply that he thought it was only a girl.
Although people’s opinion of this animal ranges to “rodent” to “mystical animal of the gods!!”,the fox should receive due credit for its diversity as a species and for all of it’s intellectual behavior. I can not look upon,or even think of this graceful animal with anything less than respect.
We dug a hole right under some old, dried up looking trees. We threw her down about three feet and buried her. The one animal that had been important throughout my entire childhood was now gone. The one place that was important my whole childhood, I was about to leave. The trees, the grass, the creek and the lane, so important, yet it was time to leave them.
It was the middle of winter, and to get away from the cold my family and I decided to take a vacation somewhere warm and enjoyable. We decided to go to Florida and enjoy the warm and beautiful beaches. I pictured the ocean as being a place of peace and serenity. It was my first time visiting the ocean, and all I hoped for was the ocean to be as beautiful as the pictures I had seen of it. As we arrived at Clearwater Beach in Florida, the eagerness of seeing this peaceful place was rising. I couldn’t wait to smell the fresh salty air, and feel the soft sand between my toes.
The sun rose, bouncing into the sky like a great fiery yo-yo over the city of Orleans sending the moon packing. Inside the compound the sound coming from Monk Parakeet chirping away in their cage began to stir the female awake. With a soft groan she rolled onto her back, and Angelina tossed an arm over her eyes to block out the dots of sunshine that danced across her bedroom as it came through the lace curtains that hung just above Angelina's bedroom windows. The aroma of New Orleans slowly wafted its way through the open window. The female's mind was still fuzzy, maybe even disoriented with the last remnants of a dream that was being chased away with the realization that she was now awake and a new day had started. Gee what a day she had planned for herself, it was hard work being a prisoner. Although it had been a nice dream too, something about sitting under a big oak tree in a meadow full of flowers, there was something else, but the details were fading fast
Making my way down the side of the house, I climb over and around the never ending rugged and giant rocks on which the house is built on. As I carefully walk closer to the water, I feel the power of the water as the wind from the waves blow through my being like a breath from God. Looking down, all around me are numerous tide pools filled with various seal life such as sea urchins, anemones, star fish, and even different kinds of fish. The excitement of picking up a star fish, feeling the billions of tentacles latching on to my skin, is a memory I can never forget. After I have my fair share of climbing the rocks, my family and I walk around the close-knit community. Along the streets there is foliage abound, and in that are blackberry bushes. We always pick them and savor their sweet flavor, but do not appreciate the red stains on our hands and fingers. Along the way, we spot additional deer hiding in the brush or roaming the open grass. We head back to the house as the sun begins to set, glistening over the water as the sky turns red and
Text Box: On this occasion coming into the harbour, the seagulls surrounded the boat because of the fish we had onboard. It was just our luck that we caught a fish which came to the surface of the water at that time, and so a seagull dived for it, and we then had a seagull which woulnt let go of the fish so we had to reel them both in, and sea gulls can give quite a nasty nip. My uncle was also quite unnerved at being at the back of the boat with all of these birds flying over.
