There are many qualities that make up a person. Each different quality gives their person a different personality and strengths. Several of my strengths, or virtues, would help further the Schindewolf student body, and turn our school into one of the greatest in the county. I am goal-oriented, considerate, and studious. These would all help me to make our school a better place for every student. The students of Schindewolf need a leader who could show them the way, and follow up on her promises. Being goal-oriented would help me to become that leader. Unfortunately, unlike, many of my fellow students I have my whole life planned out, and have already been working on achieving the goals in my life. One of these steps toward my future includes
Throughout the years of being a student at Council Rock, I have come to the realization of what a true leader is. A leader is not someone that just plans events, collects money, or shows up to meetings. Rather, this is someone that has a true connection with their peers, and has unmatched passion for what they do. With this, I can confidently say that since seventh grade, as a young adult, I have been shaped into an individual that fits these traits. Since that time, I have been involved in student government,
Important goals about life have changed significantly suggests Kohn. With goals comes the ability to be persistent, the author mentions. He describes that persistence is one characteristic among many that could become valuable when wanting to reach a goal,
2. I have the ability to share a sense of vision and also an uplifting energy. I can create and build a team so they can eventually reach their peak potential. Finally, I take responsibility for driving things forward and can identify the need of change and initiate a change when it is needed. As an orientation leader during orientation, I will be able to showcase my strengths by combining random upcoming students from different walks of life and provide them with the tools
Everyone has character, yet it is the way that you mold character that is important. I am open to feedback and will accept any recommendations that are offered. I am always willing to grow as a person and view others’ insights as doors to that growth. I am honest and open, and proudly represent Windham High School as well as the greater community of Windham. I am dedicated to whatever I undertake; whether it be that I am volunteering as an SSP or petsitting animals for a week. Being a leader is inseparable with a good character. I try to lead by example, be it picking up a piece of garbage in the halls or by just refusing to say a discriminatory word.
People need to think intelligently and set goals that are specific to their needs, making it possible to achieve their goals by making sure they are measurable and realistic and making it possible to build a support system around them; furthermore, they also need to set a deadline with time frames that can be met. Chanika Charles stated that “young people are at risk of being gobbled up by despair, overcome by conditions beyond their control” (A17). To avoid this, people need to start motivating themselves and getting excited about what they want to achieve, making sure their goals are relevant to their needs and being more perseverance when situations become difficult. When setting up their goals, they must ask that magic question: is this relevant to my lifestyle, furthermore, what will I do to achieve it?
Everyone has strengths and weaknesses. As Roth states in Strengths Finder 2.0, we as a present day world tend to focus on and try to overcome our weaknesses rather that building up our strengths. Using our natural talents can help us do the best we can and help us be a better asset. After taking the strengths assessment, I found that my top five strengths themes ended up being: relator, discipline, competition, responsibility, and significance.
These strengths have allows for me to flourish in school and the activities I participate in. Along side these strengths are my weaknesses that have allowed me to encounter some learning opportunities. Ive gained knowledge from these weaknesses. Ive learned how to evaluate a situation and gauge how assertive I need to be in order to get a group to accomplish a task. Ive also learned that sometimes I need to put my needs in front of other people 's in some situations, such as deciding where I want to continue my education after high
One of the greatest strengths I bring to the field practicum is optimism. In the helping profession I believe hope/positivity is very important because it affects how I see problems, how I solve problems, how I help my clients, and how I make decisions. Secondly, self-awareness would be another strength I have to offer. I am constantly doing self-evaluations of my heart, motives, biases, and good/bad habits. This allows me to continue to improve myself as an individual and as an employee. My greatest limitation would be fear of failure. I have this burning desire to help individuals, families, and communities, but in doing that I do not want to fail them. My desire of wanting to provide clients with the best and seeing them succeed is a strength
One of my greatest skills is being able to be compassionate towards others. By placing myself into someone else’s shoes, I find myself being able to better understand where other people are coming from. I am an extremely caring person that will go to great lengths for anyone. I can easily overlook the differences in other people, and this is what helps me get along with almost anyone that I come across. In order to lead people in a positive direction you need to be able to relate to them on a more personal level. It is much easier when people feel comfortable around their leader. I always like to lend a helping hand or even a shoulder to cry on when it is needed. My strengths include integrity, optimism, faith, innovation, and adaptability. These strengths are important to have in leadership positions. Leaders should have a firm hold on their beliefs and morals in order to have a positive impact on people. Keeping my commitments is crucial to me, because I am a woman of my word. I think this is a good trait in leadership, because people need to be able to count on the person that they look up to. Optimism is also something I value. I belie...
During the course of my college career I have discovered that it takes more than just completing assignments and attending classes to be a student worthy of the instruction one receives from a professor. It takes dedication, ethics, and a drive that comes from within to be a leader. One that others in the student population can look up to and model their academic career like; one that professors are pleased to have in their class. It has been my goal these years to be a student like this, and I have kept my drive towards this achievement action orientated at all times.
My strengths include an uncanny open-mindedness and an unrelenting kindness and gratitude towards my fellow humans. If I was to ever have any true weaknesses trying to hard is the first one. My need to be a perfectionist sometimes gets the best of me; I strive for excess in all areas of my life. I think it is of the most importance to understand your strengths and weakness. I’ve improved my strengths through exposure and emphasis. From the beginning I always found a passion in my school’s Gay-Straight Alliance, I went on to lead them for the last two years. I am an exceptional member of my school’s National Honor’s Society, and I have done more than what is expected of me at my job at Hy-Vee and have been proud to do so. My abilities and performances have taught me a lot throughout life and I have discovered who I am and what I can be. I have found that I am a leader. I have found that I am in control of the situations I find myself in. I’ve grown throughout my trials by finding the lesson in every circumstance. I am adaptable and continually grow from my misgivings. I choose to see the glass half full and see in the positive. Every weakness that I have is a strength waiting to be built upon. To uphold these standards for myself I will need to draw upon all that I
Purpose: I must remind myself that my goal into becoming a better leader is taking new paths in my life and learn from my mistakes. My mistakes will be falling into the same path that I am in know. Trying to avoid the change as much as possible. It’s time to break that so I can become a better leader.
In today’s society, the definition of leadership is ever-changing and is always being improved. As a leader, my mission is to treat everyone equally and give them the respect they deserve. This semester was very challenging, but my leadership skills have improved. As a leader, my roles play a significant part in the lives of my constituents. I am eager to say, but I enjoyed every moment of my volunteer experience as a prospective Certified Student Leader (C.S.L). Taking the course, introduction to leadership was not a mistake, but a way for me to grow and mature as a leader. I must admit that I am staring to see the world differently, rather than to my own benefit. Considering this, I was able to grow with the help of my followers, mentors,
All of these strengths are my traits because these are what I do in the real life. These strengths shape me as an individual. What I think, feel, and behave is accurately reflected by these strengths. For example, before I start writing an essay, I will think what I should write and how I can work it well. During writing, I will pay all of my attention on it. These traits make me to be an individual, different from any others. Most of my behaviors can be explained by these five strengths.
My strengths are the ability to interaction with students. I will try to use my time to build positive relationship with individuals and keep record of their behaviors, characteristics and specific concerns. This will allow the students to trust me and allow me
