Women or girls should always feel safe whenever they leave their house to the streets. They can’t feel that way when there’s men out there commenting inappropriate or uncomfortable things to women. How would men feel if their daughter, mom, girlfriend etc. was a victim to catcalling or inappropriate comments in the streets by other men? This generation of society has a big issue with sexual harassment, catcalling in the streets, etc. It is never okay for men and boys to comment on women and girls on the street. Harassment is a big issue in our society. Sexual harassment is when one feels discomfort and fear. No matter how little you might think some comments women get in the streets it’s a big deal to women out there since their safety is being at risk. Women are not objects that you can catcall or harass in the streets. Men seem to not know, or just don’t care at all, how they need to be careful and think twice before they throw comments at women in ways that will be the least offensive or threatening. Because of those men actions, women are self conscious about themselves. Women should always have the need to go out the streets …show more content…

I understand that some men don’t have the intention to sexually harass women in any way but women might see what they’re trying to say to them differently. Every female out there takes things differently. Some will actually enjoy all the comments and some will feel discomfort. Women don’t want to be defined as objects and they don’t want mean to come to them and talk to them or treat them as they are. If men would want to compliment something about a women or just be nice then men need to think twice before they speak. A way they can talk to the women in a respectfully manner.
