I enjoyed reading your post. I agree with you that those who commit sexual assaults may have been sexually abused at one time or another. You had mentioned in your post that “sexual violence is an extreme case of deviant behavior”. However, not only is this act deviant, but it is also a criminal act. As we have learned in discussion 5.1, all criminal acts are deviant; however, not all deviant behavior is a criminal act (“Sociology Central Teaching,” 2010).
