People may argue that technology has been very resourceful and convenient, however studies show the contrary because when using technology you try to multitask with other things and multitasking leads to distractions. A common distraction teens get when trying to multitask is listening to music, or watching tv, even texting. They try to juggle between both but really it is only making them slower to perform the task they were doing to begin with. Technology has led us to “sexting” , it has also led us to depression, therefore technology has been a negative impact on teens. The word “sexting” means to send sexual messages or pictures through a cell phone. In article “ where there’s ‘sexting’ there may be sex” by Scott Hensley, he says “sexting has gone so mainstream”. A smartphone or any other use of electronic device has become something everyone has that’s why sexting is so normal now in days. Hensley says, “even so, a majority of the students with access to cellphones 59 percent had never had anal, oral or vaginal sex”, yeah that may be grand, but the consequences to a sexual picture being leaked is way more worse.
