Separation Of Power In George Orwell's Animal Farm

Government could be influenced for lot of reasons. Sometimes it is good. Sometime it might go amiss. I think the separation of power is the most significant influence to our government, because inappropriate power allocation could destroy the government.

There was a story called Animal Farm, which I think it would be a lot of different if it put separation of power idea inside. The story is about farmer Mr. Jones and his animals. The animals bit Mr. Jones and the pig became the leader of the farm. There was an important part in the story, which is the pigs are making up the rule, but after that, they kept breaking their own rule and changing the rule to what they wanted and would be best for themselves, such as keeping the supplies or killing some other animals. I think it’s better that the legislative and judicial branches are separate, because there will be no check balance from each branches. Although in the Constitution Article one and three it had said none of the branches can interfere other any decision.

Montesquieu was born in 1689.

At the time, Louis 14th was the king of England. He wrote a book called Separation of Law ridiculing the reign of Louis 14th and the doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church. The book tells us what he thinks about the balance between the different branches. He concludes that the best form of government was that the legislative, executive, and judicial powers shall be separated to kept each other in check and prevent any branch from becoming too powerful. Montesquieu’s thought is important because when it isn’t separate, it might slowly become “Monarchical Dictatorship”, in which the king or the leader can do whatever they want. In the US Constitution, had written “Legislative” “Executive” “Judicial” in Article one two and three. In this case, it is less chance that government become too

powerful.
In the beginning of this year President Trump had signed one administrative order. The order was saying that to prevent America being attacked, US government must reject people from Syria and another six “Muslim countries” from entering America. Unfortunately, the week after, the order was turned down by Federal District Court of Western Washington, DC. The reason is the US Constitution Amendment one “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion……” We shall not judge anyone with race or color. Sometimes we all will think our idea is best, but in fact, not always right. We need someone else to overlook our action. It is the same with all government in the world. If the President is the judicial branch no one is overlooking what he is doing. The government won’t be balanced any more. That is the reason we need to have separation of power in the Constitution.
The separation of power is the most significant influence to our government, because too much power will change what people or government want to do at first. When there is too much power you can do whatever you want. Separation of power is also one of the most important parts in the US Constitution. The idea is from Montesquieu’s Separation of Law. It is a good way to start a new government, and it is the right way to govern.
