It’s the end of the road for my high school career and what a year it has been. This year went by so quickly, I felt it was certain. Since the beginning of high school, I’ve grown through the years into the person I’d become. Eventually, I would soon enter the college life and live on through the rest of my life. Linden High School was a giant journey full of obstacles that amended who I was as a student. By the time senior year arrived, I felt like I like I could give it one last shot. To show the teachers that I wasn’t going to let my senior year go to waste by slacking off. The majority of my senior year was me trying to figure out which college best suited me. I wanted to major somewhere in the business field and through all the open houses’ …show more content…
After the tour ended, we walked around Wall Street and visited a few markets to call it off as a long, busy day. One question that remains in many heads from time to time is if they are excited for the year to be over or are savoring all of the memories until graduation. Personally, I’ve wanted to get this year over with since the beginning. Some of the teachers I’ve had previously will always come to mind especially those who were genuinely interested in what they were teaching us and made sure they cared for the students. Teachers like Ms. Walker easily fit the example because her teaching turned out well for students who did their work. Overall, the senior year started off smooth and it went by fairly quickly in my opinion. I spent most of the time with different colleges and which one would perfectly suit me. I went on trips meeting new environments and how it correlates to the profession students would try to pursue in the near future. Despite some of the difficulties I faced during the year, I still had a lot of fun meeting new people and seeking out new careers that I never thought would peak my interest. Linden High School is the final conclusion of this story and it has been a wild four years of being a
Coming out of my senior high school was one of the most difficult tasks I 've been given up to this point in my life. I was overwhelmed, excited, sad, busy, and uncertain of the near impending future. The past 13 years of my life I had been studying, practicing, playing, and working my way towards a brighter future. I could see the future in front of me, it was as if I could reach out and touch it. It was almost like getting a shot at the doctors, I knew it was what was best for me but I was terrified anyway. But I pushed aside my fears and on August 8, 2015, I set foot on a college campus, my home for the next four years. I knew why I was there though; I came to college in order to channel the love I have for my country into the motivation necessary to take the next step up the ladder towards a constitutional law degree, a degree I’ll use to protect this country and the people who reside in it. But to truly understand why I came to college, I have to start at the beginning.
In his book, “Oh, the Places You'll Go!” Dr. Seuss famously wrote: “You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. And you are the one who'll decide where you go.” Friends, family, faculty, and most importantly, fellow graduates, we are gathered here today to celebrate the completion of twelve years of education; a period of time that has filled each and every one of us with an array of emotions and experiences; good, bad, and literally everything in between. Little did we know that these emotions and experiences would one day define and shape us into the people who we are today.
I wanted to extend a warm welcome back to the school year and as you have no doubt noticed, life with a Senior is a little bit different! At 4 weeks in to the Senior experience and beginning to settle down, we continue thoughtfully thinking of and preparing for life post-high school. From my experience, it will reduce anxiety on many levels for students to be organized and have solid options come spring, be that world of work, trade school, gap year plans, or 2/ 4 year colleges. In order to bring that goal into fruition, planning begins now.
With senior year beginning and the end of high school already approaching, growing up has got me thinking of all the things that still need to do as kid before things “get real”. So much still needs to be done before going on to college, before graduating high school, and before becoming an adult; things that need to be done as a kid. The one thing that comes to mind that I feel must be done before going on to be an adult is letting my inner kid out and play in the mud at least one more time.
I’m working on getting a car, which is very soon. As a senior, you begin to get closer to the real world and what life is like on your own. I’m so ecstatic that I finally made it to senior year. Prom is coming up and I don’t know if I’m going or not because I have other priorities. I would enjoy it a lot though! Graduation is approaching then college; I just can’t wait. Life after highschool is going to be exciting and interesting. I’m going to start and finish college, so that I can have a great career. Nursing is what I’m going for. I’m really going to miss high school. Everyone tells me that while your in school you hate it; which is true, but after you graduate you’re going to be bored and miss it. I know that I’m going to miss it, but I’m going to be glad that i’m starting a new journey. Senior year is going by slow, but that’s because I have “senioritis”. I made new friends over the months and lost some; which happens, but my life has changed for the better. Many of my teachers taught me to never give up and if you do it won’t turn out well. I thought senior year was suppose to be the easiest year because it’s your last. My senior year wasn’t all that bad because I worked hard and maintained A’s and B’s
Many people have been asking me how I feel about my last semester of senior year in high school. Some students say that they are ready to get out of high school others not so much. I see both sides of how you would feel about it and really don't know which side Im on. At times I am ready for the year to be over others I'm not. The times that I am ready for the year to be over could be caused by a variety of things. For example you might be feeling like your ready to grow up and start your adult life, you could be having a bad day and that makes everything less enjoyable, you could have had a bad experience at the school and want to get out of there as soon as possible so you don't experience anything bad again. The effects of wanting to be
After three long years of high school it is finally time to experience one of the greatest years of my life, senior year. There will be a lot of lasts this year. Last first day of school, last homecoming, last volleyball game. This year is all about making memories with my friends before we graduate and go our different ways.
The year is 2027, first off I want you not to worry about death anymore
My senior year was full of memories that I will never forget. There were memories that I would like to forget and some I would love to relive. There were many life lessons throughout the year. What to do, what not to do. A few consequences throughout the way. Many fights and arguments with the girls in my lab. Times when I wanted to give up and my teachers and friends helped me stay on track, but I would never change my experience at Tri-Rivers for anything! Junior year and Senior year were a hell of alot different. Junior year we started off with 18 girls, but ending senior year with 10. Last year there was a lot of drama, but what do you expect with a room full of girls? There were groups in one lab. I would classify them as like, the peacemakers,
Would you say you were in love as an adolescent? Teenagers can be in love. They can be in love because many people have wedded and stayed with their senior high boyfriend or girlfriend. Also it is beneficial to be in a serious relationship at a young age. In senior high, couples go through a lot together so they are stronger as a couple. Adolescents can be in love despite the fact that people may not think they are mature enough.
After these three amazing years I feel overjoyed and privileged to have attended such a wonderful institution of education that is Asma high school. It inspired me and motivated me to be the very best version of me, as many other students. Upon leaving this school, I feel empowered and at ease with the notion that I have gained the knowledge to help me with all my future endeavors. Our whole educational life is a challenge , finishing high school doesn’t mean the end of these challenges , because no matter where we go , or what we do , there are always challenges ahead of us, but what we all need to do is to meet these challenges straight on with our head held up high and our hearts wide open ready for these challenges, I remember three years ago I got home with my report card and my marks had dropped miserably I cried a lot so my father asked me “why are you crying” I was taken back a bit by his question I think he noticed that and continued ‘ you know life is like a long road even though you can’t see the end of it you keep on walking just like all the roads you’ll trip and fall down whether it was a rock , a wood , or
Everyone goes to highschool so everyone gets to experience what it feels like to be both a freshman and a senior. Typically, most people enjoy their senior year more than they do their freshman year, however there are positives and negatives for both. Freshman year is an introduction to change in most people's lives. Most people become more mature than they were in Junior High and try new things. Then there's senior year which is also an introduction to change in a lot of people's lives. Individuals prepare themselves for college or their career in which they plan on pursuing.
Imagine the Daytona 500 race event. Racecars roaring past the spectators on an oval-shaped raceway at a rate of what feels like two-hundred miles per hour. This phenomenon describes how fast my four years of high school have approached. Graduating from high school reminds me of graduating from the Math and Science for Minority Students Program/the (MS)2 Program. When I graduated from the (MS)2 Program, I left behind great friends who all had the same insight as me. We all wanted to prove people wrong by attending college and making something of ourselves. As minorities, we understood that we had to work twice as hard to compete with the “top dogs,” and we all were willing to accept the challenge. Although I am looking forward to life after high school, I will miss my friends, the Choctaw Central Winterguard group, and my sixth period band class.
y first semester at APU has gone by rather fast. It seems like orientation was only yesterday, and today we are taking finals. A lot has happened in these few months as I embark on my college career as a freshmen once again. College is a big step up when compared to high school. I am surrounded by adults far more knowledgeable than I. This year has also been full of new things, new classes, new adventures, new challenges and new risks. The college transition was more than slightly overwhelming. There were multiple times where I was completely at a loss for how to move forward. This semester has also been full of triumphs and growth. College is one of the greatest opportunities we have to grow, in our entire life. However, you cannot have growth
Graduation: the last day that I would unwillingly set foot on the fields of Horizon High School. I could feel my heart beating out of my chest, and tried so hard to keep my feet moving one after the other in order to maintain my perfect stature. After the two hour wait of opening speeches, class songs, and the calling off of the five hundred plus names that were in front of me, it was finally my turn. As my row stood up and we walked towards the stage it had set in at last, this is it, I am done. My high school career ended on that night, but it didn’t close the book that is my life, it only started a new chapter, and with it came a whole slue of uncertainties.
