In college, self study is very important. Each student has his or her methods to study in school. To manage study times, concentrate in class, practice all the lessons are three strategies students should develop to be successful in college.
First of all, students should manage their study time well. In college, many students take four to five classes in a week. The amount of homework and classwork are a lot. For example, I have two classes in morning, and every day I write an essay for English class and ten questions in my math class. I decide to stay in the library after math class to finish my homework, and the essay I will do it at home because it takes longer than the math's questions. Another reason students should make a study schedule is the due time is very short. Sometime my teacher only gives students a few hours to submit an essay. Therefore students should save time between lunch or each class to finish homework. Also, students who have a job should not schedule their workdays on the schooldays. Because after working at night or early in the morning, students may not have energy for school. For example, one of my classmate, she always sleep in class, for she works late at night.

Some teachers talk a lot, and they excerpt student write everything down. So students must listen in every words and have them down in the notebook. Those information may have on the test. For instance, my teacher talked too fast, and I did not have enough time to write the note down. Then on the test I could not do it because I did not have anything to study. Students usually do not understand the lesson because of some the interruptions. Some students use the class time to talk to their friends or eat their meal. When in the course of human events, students should be entering school a little bit later than the usual. This will give the student more sleep time which then will allow the student to think better when in school. This will also help a student be fully awake and not be sleeping in class. Students will pay more attention and will be ready to learn. Waking up early and going to school early makes a student be sleepy in class. We the students should be getting a later start in school.

However, if schools were to start later, adolescents would not have to nap, allowing for a larger window of time to spend with their families after school, even with a later start time. Another opposing argument is that students would have less time to participate in extracurricular activities. However, this issue can be resolved by making practices for sports and club meetings shorter and more frequent to accommodate the schedule variation. Overall, the benefits of later start times far outweigh the drawbacks.

This behavior is called procrastinating and it can lead to problems in many areas of a student’s life. College students are the worst hit by this type of behavior because they have many different activities to focus on instead of studying. There is a time and place to relax and enjoy life, but if students focus on playing around instead of getting their assignments done, college life will be stressful.
If students have a lot of homework and get home around 5:30, it will make it harder for some students to complete homework on time. If they have a big test the next day they will need to study really hard but it will be very late. Students will also try to stay up late to get homework done. The repercussion is that they will be extremely tired the next day and unfocused. Students will also be stressed out over what they need to complete and what still needs to be done.
Students today are stressed, tired, and overworked. There are only so many hours in a day to fit everything a student must do. They’re getting up at 5 in the morning to get ready for the rest of their day. Going to school by 7 am and in class by 7:30 am. On the weekends sleeping until 12 am just to catch up on sleep.
Our society needs a reality check because quite frankly 24 hours in a day is not enough. Teachers assign questions for say 1 to 5 and one thinks to themselves, “ Oh that’s not too bad” until they flip through the textbook only to find each sections goes from A-Z. Picture this a typical, hard-working student. Each day one receives multiple assignments to complete for homework. The student is involved in several extracurricular activities so they doesn’t have much extra time. After sport practice, they head home, bury their head in books, and begins to study.
Students are bombarded with hours of homework every night and it interferes with their lives. They are tired of staying up late at night to finish their homework or a paper that is due the next day. They should not have this workload that they have every night because they also have to live their childhood. Life is too short to be staying up until 11:00 because of schoolwork. Homework is unhealthy for students and it is not academically beneficial for them.
Finding a good place to study will help a bunch, by making sure the spot is free of distractions (Dartmouth). Setting up study groups and using the library will also help when it is time to study (Hansen). Make a plan to study two hours for every hour that is spent in class, but just make sure that 30 minutes breaks are taken often and do not study the same subject after the break (Berkeley and Hansen). Knowing a good way to learn also helps. Some students learn better in the day time or better in the nighttime. Just figure out the best way to learn and then use that time to study (Dartmouth).
College students must find time in their busy schedules to study. In order to keep up they must do daily assignments. Reading every night helps to prepare for the exams. Taking notes in class and out of class are also necessary. Students also have exams at the end of the semester that require hours of studying. Waiting until the last minute and then cramming it all in is often a final resort. Many students who have kept up just go over and recall the information. All students must find time to study in order to pass.
