Dre always had self-motivation and never forgot where he wanted to be and do. In the known movie The Karate Kid, performed by Jaden smith the son of the well-known actor William smith. The particular movie was about a little 12-year-old boy named Dre who moved to China due to his mom’s career. Even though Dre was young but he has made wise decisions and had the creator mind set to accomplish his number one goal to defeat his bully Cheng. The top 2 characters in the movie demonstrated both negative and positive sides of self-motivation.

throughout the movie, The Karate Kid, the character Mr. Han had shown nothing but support and motivation to the main character Dre and I think that Mr. Han was one of the Keys to success for Dre’s goal. He has helped the character Dre throughout the movie because he saw something in him that was special and desperate. Although Mr. Han was the main goal for success to Dre goal but also Dre was the source of a relief to Mr. Han’s wife and kid’s car accident incident which was his main weakness point. Dre showed in depends when his dedication to training was revealed and hard work to becoming better at Kung-Fu fighter. At some point in the movie, The Karate Kid Dre had shown lack of motivation but once he understood the big idea he was more motivated then before. For example, In the scene that was showing Mr. Han training Dre to put his jacket on and take it off the poll was very symbolic because it shows Dre giving up at a point but once Mr. Han tells him to take it off and put it back on with no jacket in his hands he understood that there was a reason for this action. First, Dre was not aware of why Cheng was treating him in such a way. Then it was obvious to him that it was all because of a girl that Cheng had a crush on and it happened to be almost Dre’s girl and it seemed clear that she didn’t like Cheng due to the way he treated and bullied other kids. Cheng was not just Dre’s biggest opponent but also his source of mental and physical pain. The main characters in the movie were Dre and Mr. Han. They both help each other in a way. As it seems, Mr. Han had helped Dre to learn Kung-Fu and beat his biggest bully. In return Dre had helped Mr. Han with his weakness, which was drinking and spending money on a car that is not working but it made him remember his wife and kids. From then they both cured each other and showed positive confidence towards their challenges. Dre developed emotional intelligence because he understood that getting angry during a fight will do nothing but have a negative effect on himself
