Secret Societies and Conspiracy Theories.
The government is full of secrets, some that are probably better to be left unknown because if reviled they may cause havoc all over the nation. There are three well known secret societies such as Skull and Bones, The Freemasons, and The illuminati. In society today The Illuminati is the most well-known secret society because of all the artists that claim to have it made because of initiating themselves into the secret society known as the illuminati. There are also many conspiracy theories such as the Denver airport, 9-11, and the new world order. Some may or may not believe a word of it but as some look closer into it, it always leaves a question with an unknown answer.
Skull and Bones was founded in 1832 it is an undergraduate secret society at Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut. Skull and Bones was originally known as the Brotherhood of Death it is one of the oldest secret societies in the United States. Membership to this society is only to a selected few. Skull and Bones Selects its few new members every spring as part of Yale University’s “Tap Day” and has continued to do so since 1979. The society started to include women in the early 1900’s, Skull and Bones select fifteen men and women of the junior class to join their society they “tap” those that it views as campus leaders and notable figures for its membership. To this day members of the society use masonic inspired rituals, they meet every Thursday and Sunday each week in a building that they refer to as the “Tomb”. The “Tomb” was built in three phases; the first wing was built in 1856, the second wing was built in 1903, and then Neo-Gothic towers were added to the rear garden in 1912. A small enclosed courtyard in ...

...ter the building were buried workers were sent down regularly to work on the underground buildings, but none of them were allowed to speak of the work they performed. There were reports of guards with guns below not even letting airport workers with full access through. A disturbing aspect of the airport is the strange murals around Denver International Airport. One of these murals depicts babies and children dying at the hands of an authoritative figure carrying a sword, a gun and wearing a gas mask. In another, young girls of different races lie dead in caskets. These murals in particular have been painted over within the last few years. The public affairs office at DIA claim these murals simply show the harsh effects of war and that one day we will have peace. So what do all these weird things mean for us? Could they mean nothing? For now, the conspiracy lives.
The sugar skull is obviously referring to the Mexican tradition called dia de los muertos. Dia de los muertos takes place during the end of october and the first of November. This celebration is an important holiday as it is considered a vital part of Mexican identity, and identity in which is a combination of mesoamerican rituals, European beliefs, and Spanish culture. Mesoamerican culture shared many of the same traditions when celebrating their ancestors. Dia de los muertos isn’t about the final resting place of the dead, but instead the beginning of a new journey. A journey to the Machlin, a final resting place for the souls. Due to Spanish colonization, death rituals were influenced by new laws and lifestyles. Spain and the catholic church made an lasting influence on the cultures of mesoamerica. Many of these influences were a cause of mass war and the bubonic plague. Life and death balanced together like right and wrong, good versus evil, eventually creating a general understanding that life and death, itself, is a cyclical journey. Europeans brought the idea of cemeteries to the indigenous people. Today there is evidence of this with sugar skulls and celebrations in the cemetery and homes. According to The Day of the Dead, Halloween, and the Quest for Mexican National Identity, Stanley Brandes
Another popular conspiracy theory contains the Illuminati society. The Order of the Illuminati was an Enlightenment-age secret society founded by university professor Adam Weishaupt on May 1, 1776, in Upper Bavaria, Germany. The movement consisted of advocates of freethought, secularism, liberalism, republicanism, and gender equality. In 1785, the order was infiltrated, broken up and suppressed by the government agents of Charles Theodore, However, there is no evidence that the Bavarian Illuminati survived its suppression in 1785 (“History of Beliefs”, 2006).
Artist Leo Tanguman painted morbid murals within the walls of the Denver airport. The scenes signify death and rebirth. One mural shows dead women, destruction of our world, and a little girl with a Mayan tablet representing the 2012 doomsday, which is the phase of rebirth. Secondly, another portrays a military figure with a gas mask, gun and sword. The figure is stabbing a dove, which symbolizes peace.
Could there really be aliens eating missing children or is the Nazis regime getting ready to return and making their base under Denver Airport. There is a base under DIA, but could the paintings of Leo Tanguma offer insight as to what is down in the vast buildings? “Many investigators have directly questioned airport officials in an attempt to dispel the myriad of rumours – officials however have been reported to be evasive and secretive which has fuelled the conspiratorial fires” (Hayes 1). Nobody really knows what is going on at DIA, only guesses. So take that facts for what they are worth and decide what is happening at the mysterious Denver International Airport.
Reynolds strives to show his readers the history of the Skull and Bones Society as proof of its being an incubator of members who gain placement in multiple leadership roles in America. He begins his chapter on the Skull and Bones by giving his readers a history lesson of how the society resides only at Yale University in a mausoleum-like building known as the Tomb. Reynolds covers the founding of the society as well as the initiation rites of the fifteen juniors that are chosen every year to become members. He then proceeds to cover the history of the society from the men who originally founded it to the accounts of who their prominent well known members are and their roles in some of Americas most well-known moments in history.
In a cemetery in Baltimore there is an enormous black marble figure by the grave of a deceased general. It’s a magnificent statue of a grieving woman, cloaked in darkness, a black angel…named Black Aggie. During the day the statue’s arms mourn the tombstone [slight pause] but at nightfall, the statue eerily gazes on. If anyone were to return her terrifying stare, they would be struck blind! Supposedly during a full moon the ghosts of the dead would rise from their graves and meet at Black Aggie’s feet. My friend’s father’s fraternity wanted to scare all of their new members, and during one of the initiation nights, they ordered all the fresh candidates to spe...
Mystery cults greatly influenced the development of Pythagoreanism as Pythagoreans adopted many of their traditions, behaviors and beliefs. Pythagoras, the founder of the Pythagoreans, established a school in which he developed and taught these adopted cultural behaviors and beliefs. "The nature of daily living in the school, both its moral and its intellectual disciplines, can perhaps best be understood as an intellectualized development from earlier mystery cults such as the Eleusinian" (Wheelwright 201). The Pythagoreans and the mystery cults were not identical, but they shared many similar beliefs on subjects such as the soul, transmigration and reincarnation, and they practiced many of the traditions of initiation, ritual and secrecy. Pythagoreans combined the mystery cults' views on these subjects with philosophical thought as a foundation to develop their own unique beliefs.
It is hard to believe that a country founded on honesty, hard work, and good morals is involved with lies, deception, and manipulation. Since birth, as U.S. citizens, there has always been an underlying theme to accept things as is. Questioning the way society runs has never been popular. There are very few who actually go against the grain and offer inquisitions when they suspect things are differently than they appear. Rather than dismaying the skeptics or completely trusting the media, everyone should examine the facts individually and question the amount of government involvement and distorted truth in the American people's lives- and particularly in Sandy Hook on December 14, 2012.
Although one side of this controversial matter is in fact true, the only evidence either side has is that there is no evidence. While the alleged actions of the modern-day Illuminati and the New World Order conspiracy theory are the main issues surrounding the Illuminati, the Illuminati is an extremely wide-ranging subject with numerous supplementary conspiracies involved. Works Cited Curran, Stuart. A. A. “The Illuminati.” Contexts--Societies--Illuminati.
There are many questions that still remain unanswered about the illuminati. Some say that they were responsible for the JFK assassination, 9/11, and the significant hidden signs and symbols. The Illuminati has been around since the 18-centray, since then the Illuminati has expanded their secret society. This society is full of free thinkers and people of wealth. For some it's hard to believe that this secret society hiding in the dark is stronger than we give it credit, for others they grasp the idea and fear that the world may become control by this group.
Since the beginning of settled civilizations, people have had more mutual sharings than ever before. By the same token, there have been some conspiracy theories that are usually against the culturally accepted beliefs of religions, science and society. A conspiracy theory can be described so differently. However, as in his text, Marshall Brain explicates, a conspiracy is generally defined as a theory seeking to explain a disputed case or matter as a plot by a secret group or alliance rather than an individual or isolated act (Brain). Especially, after the new media has become quite popular, more and more conspiracies are theorized every single day, which aim to catch society’s attention via such media tools as the internet, journals and newspapers. Thus, people who theorize those conspiracies tend to use such objects as spiritual and mysterious ones in order to interest people. To illustrate, many examples can be given. For instance, many people have claimed that they were abducted by aliens, although they could show no evidences. Here, a citation from Blackmore could facilitate to understand the circumstance better. She states that people occasionally claim that they have been abducted from public places by aliens, in this case that may provide them with witnesses and affirmations but no evidence could be shown so far (Blackmore). As it is well known, only a small number of people believe such alien abductions, however, rating of this kind of news is quite high on media, because humankind has been wondering if there are extraterrestrial creatures out of the earth. Another example can be conspiracy theories which are about the origins of religions such as the rejection of Jesus Christ. There are some people who pay attention to...
“Things aren't ever what they seem to be when you first look at them. What's important is that you keep your mind wide open and try to understand what's going on from a lot of different angles.” – Christopher Paul Curtis. Some things in life seem deceiving and deviate one’s thinking from the truth behind them. But the main aspect to look at is who has the benefit of misleading the society and why they strive to do that. People always talk about a third party that has interest in certain events occurring and that this party is somehow responsible for what is happening. Is this really true? Are all or most of the events and happenings in our lives planned by an anonymous third party that we do not know of? That question becomes more important every day. Secret societies have been in existence for quite some time and have the highest advantage for what we know as merely mischance.
What is the Illuminati? The Illuminati is a secret society that was founded on May 1, 1776 . This was known as the Bavarian Illuminati. The goal of the Illuminati was to eliminate superstition, prejudice, and the Roman Catholic Church’s domination over government, philosophy, and science; reduce abuse of state power, support the education and treatment of women as intellectual equals . Throughout time the Illuminati has undergone a change of philosophy. There are many examples in pop culture and in government symbols. The Illuminati now focuses on dominating the government and the entertainment industry.
When people talk about the Illuminati, they are talking about the most secretive, powerful, wealthiest, influential, sneakiest, manipulated, greediest people on the earth. It was a group formed in Germany 1776 in order to rule the world with their wealth and power (“Illuminati” 1). Recently it has been on everyone’s mind, but why? It is being exposed more and more every day. They are trying to take over our nation. “The infamous Illuminati secret society has remained the focus of so-called ‘conspiracy theorists’ for hundreds of years. They have been called the puppet masters who secretly pull the strings of the world’s events from elections to revolutions, and from business monopolies to stock market crashes” (Dice 1). People are completely oblivious of the Illuminati or chose to not believe this is going on behind closed doors. However, there are some people who do believe and are aware of what they are capable of. The Illuminati is harmfully corrupting our nation through the government, specialty groups, and celebrities.
What I know about the Illuminati is that, it is a large secretive society who controls the government, music industry, money and a lot of people life's. I know it is involved with religion and that what most people think that it is usually tied to Satan. Here are some questions of what I want to know is, when did the illuminati begin? How did the illuminati come to be created ? Where did illuminati come from? Who is the leader of illuminati ? Who was the founder of illuminati ? How does illuminati affect the rest of humankind? How do people get into the illuminati ? What type of people are allowed to be in the illuminati ? Dose the illuminati have a secret hideout somewhere ? Have you ever looked on the one dollar bill and saw the pyramid with the eye in the middle on the tip? Lots of people believe it is thought to be related to the Illuminati. I also read somewhere that the
