The Two World Wars were two huge worldwide events during the 20th century. These wars or years of violence contain facts and information that will forever go down into U.S. History. The great causes, new technology, and bittersweet outcomes is the information that will be explained throughout this essay. Let's take a few steps back into the 20th century as we learn all about the two World Wars.
Where did World War I begin, you may ask. Well it all began on June 28th 1914. According to Source B, it states “A Serbian nationalist assassinated the heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne, Archduke Franz Ferdinand in the city of Sarajevo”. The results of the two Wars was unheard of. The amount of lives lost was tragic and unimaginable. The destruction and change in Europe was also too big outcomes period after World War 1, 8 million soldiers died and nine million civilians died. Also according to Source E, it says “Payment towards the total reparation due from Germany”. This was from the Treaty of Versailles. The Treaty of Versailles was the plan for peace. It made Germany pay for all of the damage and destruction resulting from World War I. This is also what then cause World War II. The aftermath of World War II was much better than the first. Many lives were lost, but great profession was made soon after. The second war ended September 2nd 1945. Germany had to pay for reparations, but no more world wars followed. The establishment of the United Nations came about and then came the Cold War this war wasn't nearly as bad, but it's filled a lot of tension. These were the outcomes of the two World Wars.
