On Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at 10:30 AM, the investigator arrived in the vicinity of the insureds residential apartment complex, named the SeaScape apartment villas located at 420 the village Rd., Redondo Beach, California, 90277. We took photographs of the apartment complex to include the access control system which allows entry into the complex with a card reader system. The building does not allow access to the apartment complex as there are access controlled systems. The gates into the complex are perpetually locked as residents use an access card or a combination keylock. At 11:15 AM, the investigator called Mr. Fischer at his provided telephone number at 310-200-9189, since he did not arrive for his scheduled meeting at 11:00 a.m. He did not answer the phone call. On 01-01-17 at 0023 hours I was monitoring the radio and heard that Officer Harrell #3441 and Officer Thebeau #8402 were involved in a vehicle pursuit in the area of Fair Oaks Avenue and Corson Street. I responded to the above location to assist. They advised responding units that the suspect was involved in a traffic collision on the eastbound 210 Freeway Fair Oaks Avenue off-ramp.

At about 1940 HRS I arrived at Deputy Melchers location and made contact with Deputy Melcher and Gary Jacobs the Reporting Person/ Victim. As I pulled onto the property, which was on the west side of the road, I observed a large tin building, with a walk-in door and a large over head door facing to the East. The large overhead door was open and inside I could see several automobiles.

I arrived at 301 Jackson St. Gorham and met with Chris Scholz. I observed numerous bloody injuries to Chris Scholz’s head and face. I asked if Scholz wanted an ambulance. He denied an ambulance because he stated he did not have any medical insurance. Scholz said he would go to the hospital by private vehicle, if necessary. Scholz told me the following: Scholz went to the residence with his daughter, Makely Scholz, to retrieve some of his sister’s, Britany Scholz, property. Britany Scholz and Brooks ended their relationship a few days ago and she did not have any property. Corporal Thompson advised us of a possible elder abuse investigation which the victim involved was financially being taking advantage of by Suspect Dana Carpenter. On February 27th, 2014 I had the pleasure to interview Detective Vincent Velazquez who was referred to me by Professor Paul Guerrucci. Vincent currently works at the Atlanta Police Department located in 226 Peachtree Street, Atlanta, GA 30303. On the day of the interview, I was a little anxious since this was actually the first time I interview a crime investigator, however Vincent was very professional and he allowed me to record the entire conversation. I was able to ask questions about his personal life, full details of his profession, current case assignments, criminal investigation procedures and existing problems in the investigation process.
Although there are no specific dates for the start and end of the era, there was a noticeable modernization of American during the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. Between wars, riots, technology, politics, and entertainments, America was changing in many ways that many argue to this day were beneficial for America.
