Health risks as well are involved when kids are being in front of a screen all day . When children are glued to being in front of a tablet they loose what its like being a child playing outside. They loose exersice from running around and buring calories . Obesity is a huge facotr in the united states espcially in younger kids . Its a huge factor because, they are so involved into what they are watching and playing games on a tablet when they eat, they rather eat and be in front of an active screen then taking the time to get fresh air outside and running around.
Learning is an important part in one i disagree stronly with tablets because the teacher should always be your parents or what its taught in school , Although it has some factors on why having a tablet or watching televeison has its perks on its a good idea in my opinion its not at all. Parents believe it is not healthy and therefore should be restricted. The two articles, “Blame Society, Not the Screen Time” by Dana Boyd and “Don’t Limit Your Teen’s Screen Time” by Chris Bergman, both talk about how parents should not limit their kid’s screen time. Both authors are writing to parents of children who they think spend way too much time on their electronics. However, Dana Boyd has a much better compelling argument for not restricting teenager’s screen time. Boyd has a much better appeal to both audiences. She manages to employ better uses of both pathos and logos
Television, or screen time, has become a large part of today's society. Whether it's by way of smart-phones, a television, a computer, or a tablet, screen time has negative effects on the cognitive ability of children and adolescents. It has even been proven that it can lead to Alzheimer's disease when a person, in the age range of 20-60 years old, views an hour more than the recommended amount of screen time a day (Sigman 14). In children, the amount of screen time viewed has a relationship with the likelihood of developing a deficit in his attention span; the longer a child views screen time, the more likely he is to be diagnosed with an attention disorder. Screen time, or television, can cause attention disorders and other problem with cognitive abilities in children and adolescents that effect the education they can comprehend.

A fact is children need sunlight and play time out side whitch they will not get from screen time. Screen time increases depression and is linked to obesity. It can damage the viewer and can cause developmental issuies.

To continue, everyone can agree that children need a healthy environment to develop cognitive, social, emotional, physical and linguistic development. How much technology can improve or distract from these essential skills varies with age. The impact and implications of technology tools on young children has been studied and researched through the Let’s Move Childcare initiative and results concluded that little to no “screen time” is preferred for children under the age of two. For children two years or older, the recommended “screen time” is limited to thirty minutes per week in the classroom setting. (White House, 2011.)
