This enhances communication between students and teachers whereby there is the ‘questioning –answering’ process. The management does not put much pressure on teachers because there already exists a trust relationship between the management and the teachers whereby the teachers are expected to perform well and deliver the content. A group of 29 students were selected to conduct the study. Students were chosen according to their willingness to participate in study to share their experiences and thoughts of having teachers of like background as they. Of out of six class periods only one class period was chosen. The students selected were interviewed and were given a survey to complete. In this class there are high, middle, and low student performers. This is beneficial for the study being conducted collecting the data from the different intelligence levels of the students obtaining an extensive variety of the perspectives of every student. In addition, there is English Language Learners (ELL)
The data, both quantitative and qualitative, were collected by using questionnaires: quantitative data were obtained by employing close-ended questions and Likert scale, while open-ended questions served as the source for qualitative data. The questionnaires for the teachers were different from the ones intended for the students. The students completed the questionnaires in their classroom, while the teachers completed the questionnaire in separate sessions.
Each year, as a new group of students enter my classroom, I will encourage them to be expressive of their imaginations in their favorite subjects, whether it be art, literature, math or music. We all have rules and regulations to follow, and each student will know that there is no exception in the school or the classroom. Another goal in my classroom will be to keep the students excited about learning, not to treat school as a game or a social event, but to encourage a unique and fun atmosphere to learn. My educational ethics toward each student will be to emphasise that everyone is an individual, they are all special and unique in their own way, and that every student does not learn on the same level. I hope my students will treat each other the way they want to be treated, and respect those that may be less fortunate.
The purpose of this paper is to review three peer review articles on excellence in teaching a first grade class and or an elementary level class. In order to be successful in a classroom a teacher must be up to date with the latest methods for enhancing their lessons and abilities for students to learn. It is important for teachers to have supportive interactions with their students in order for the student’s achievements to be successful. It is also important that teachers provide hands on common teaching techniques in their lesson and class. Last but not least it is very important for teachers to make their students feel like with instructional and emotional support from their teacher that they will not fail.
Touching lives and affecting the outcome of so many futures a teacher is the epitome of a leader. Just as a leader has his or her own style, a teacher’s way of motivating his/her students, also plays an important role for a students success. Spending more time children then most parents do, a teacher is crucial in shaping with children of the future. If teachers are poor leaders then children suffer. I want to try my best to continue to educate and empower teachers with knowledge. I believe effective supervision can have a synergistic effect on a school. Through coaching methods veteran teachers can assist new teachers in becoming proficient. The now effective teacher can have greater roles in collaboration and even help coach other teachers. This new teacher becomes a more valuable part of the whole. This makes the entire school stronger and the academic increases become exponential. A school leader does not want any weak links on the chain. Administrators have a responsibility to go to work every day with the best interest of the student and our society in the heart. Student’s quality of life will be affected one way or another by every classroom teacher that they have for instruction. For the students to have the optimum positive outcomes the staff must be trained and retrained. The model of pre and post conferences along with a more constructivist dialogue with teachers paves the way for growth. This is a model I will
Vision boards are a powerful technique to use when you want to make some inspiring and positive changes in your life. A vision board is all about you and what you want to be, do and have.
The educational world of today’s society demands accountability from its teachers, because, teachers have possibly the greatest opportunity to shape a students life, not just in terms of knowledge but how they view themselves and interact with the society around them. The increased accountability has lead to the necessity for being able to identify and quantitatively assess the characteristics of a quality teacher. In its most basic form a teacher's primary purpose is to provide direction, motivation and knowledge to students ( , ), however the effectiveness of a teacher should not be determined by their ability to impart knowledge alone, the scope in which they achieve this is also of immense importance ( , ). While the effect a teacher can have on a student is undeniable, the dynamics of how a teacher produces an effective result, however, has been of vast debate (Jacobsen, Eggen & Kauchak, 2002; McBer, 2000; Killen, 1998).
The teacher 's role in the modern world is extremely high as to teach a student to be successful in education in the school with how to use this knowledge how to be successful in the life plays a very primary role. Therefore, to get this aim the modern teacher should be very creative and optimally combined modern forms, methods, means of instruction, in which develops the personality of each student. For pupils, the teacher is not only a carrier of knowledge on a particular subject, but also a bright personality, which is interesting to organize their academic work.
Students come to school from different cultural backgrounds and with different learning styles. In order to cater to the students teachers have to work hard to try and meet the needs of all their students to promote free, equal access to quality education. Therefore knowledge, skill, beliefs and attitudes are important for understanding and improving educational
Students should be encouraged to interact with one another and to develop social virtues such as cooperation and tolerance for different points of view. Also, teachers should feel no compulsion to focus their students' attentions on one discrete discipline at a time, and students may be responsible for learning lessons that combine several different subjects.
Discipline plays a key part in education. Respect from your students will make the classroom a better atmosphere. Rules should be established on the first day. Rules should be a thoughtful process so they can be carried out to be affective, but logical consequences. We do not want the students self esteem to be damaged.
