The expectation a student must meet to receive scholarships is by being involved in activities and community service and a person who is kind and cooperative with others. I am that type of person with those qualities. My overall life experience has been challenging because there has been some difficult times in my life. One of my tough life experiences is when I got run over by 3000 pound vehicle. It was on a Saturday evening when I decided to ride my bike; I enjoy the outdoors in the summer. The driver of the vehicle did not look both directions when he ran me over. Due to that accident, I broke my ankle and knee. I learned that life is difficult and important and I should not take advantage of it. I am currently an active student that is involved in community service yearly. Two Clubs that I participate in include KEY Club and Madera Academic Youth Association Club. Both of these clubs in which I am involved are clubs that help out my school and the community where I live. We do soup kitchen at a hall called Griffin Hall on certain days of the month, which is a place where members feed the poor people. I believe we should go and help those in need. An event where the citizens of Madera can calibrate together as a community and volunteer is LOVE MADERA. This year I volunteered at Millview Elementary School where I helped clean, paint and plant flowers. I also help out my church, Yosemite Christian Center with cleaning and help with childcare so their parents can attend service. Because of my ability to work and share with others, I am an ideal student for a scholarship.
My future career goal is to become an Accountant at a corporation, a non-profit organization, an accounting firm, or for the government. I see myself preparing...

...ovide for my family, I need to graduate from college and establish a successful career. Scholarships will definitely help me with college tuition and school supplies. Not only will it help me with tuition, but it will also be one less burden for my mother. I am Mexican American and I will be the first one to attend a university like Fresno State. I am first generation and I have high hopes of graduating college and becoming successful in life. I also have two older sisters that couldn’t attend college due to some problems that life threw at them. Another reason why I want to attend a college like Fresno State, is because I have three younger siblings then me and I want to show them that college is very important in life. By attending college and acquiring a degree, I will be showing my younger sibling they too can attend a university and obtain a prosperous career.
Also, I am not going to go into a trade, so a college education is the only way I'll make it in this financially demanding world. My family supports me with my school accomplishments mentally sometimes, but not financially ever. I have to pay for college myself, so it is really important for me to get in, do well, and then graduate. I believe that college would be important to me either way, but it's different when it is your own money on the table. Also, it is easier to take advantage of your own family's money versus a scholarship foundation's money. I wouldn't want their first impression of me to be that I took money away from someone who would've made better use of their money. Education is the key to every closed door, and the last thing I will do is let myself
Feel I qualify for this scholarship because I love to help people. Through different experiences, such as sports and school, I have learned and demonstrated various leadership skills. Being a Link crew leader not only taught me how to be a leader but, it help me have faith in myself and to always look up to younger people. I joined link crew so I could help our new 10 graders find their way around, and to feel included and accepted at their new school. For example during orientation in august I was giving good amount of advice to my sophomore group to be able to survive high school since I am a senior this year This made me proud and humbled that I could make a huge impact in someone's life. Another reason is I am good at organization and
“I urge you to continue working hard to prepare for success and to become leaders in our community.” Frederica S. Wilson, a Member of Congress, wrote this in a letter given to me and a few other students after we attended the 5000 Role Models trip to the nation’s capital in 2017. I took this heart and have been preparing for success ever since then. I should be selected for this prestigious scholarship because I would use it to try to be as successful as possible. This scholarship will allow me to pay for college without the fear that comes with taking out loans and will enable me to become part of the first generation in my family’s history to go to college! I will be working towards a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and receiving
In the small communities of northwestern Wisconsin, we typically do not realize how local businesses affect our everyday lives and play an important role in our community. How often do we walk into a business and are greeted by name by one of the friendly employees? Although this does not seem unfamiliar to us, we take for granted this value that comes only from local businesses. The friendly service and close relationships is only one of the many benefits of buying services from a local provider.
I identify with scholarship because all throughout high school I have strived for A’s. There is the occasional class that challenges me that is accompanied by a B, however I still strive for A’s following that B. During my high school career, I have nothing less than a 4.0 GPA. I make sure to attend and participate in class. Being active in academics determines the outcome of an individual along with character, service, and leadership. The four pillars of National Honors Society are what make me who I am. I am a leader who does servicer with astonishing character and excellent scholarship

Over the past years, I knew that the cost of attending a good college was going to place financial stress on me and my family. One of the ways I could help offset those costs were to achieve success in the classroom and on the baseball field. I understand the importance of keeping my GPA as high as possible and having a good ACT score. Volunteering in the community and becoming a strong leader and role model the past four years has been a top priority for me. I hope my experiences and achievements will help qualify me top scholarships. I have also tried to excel in my sport in hopes to qualify for additional scholarships. Once in college, I will be enrolled in work study and intern programs so that I am more marketable when I graduate. I do
I hope you are doing well. We spoke awhile back about the scholarship I received from the African American committee. I followed the instructions in the email you gave me but I have yet to receive a response. I just wanted to make sure that I had done what I needed to receive the scholarship award.
Throughout my my life there has been one thing that has always been on my mind which is to continue on my education further than my parents. Since little I knew that I brought into this world to help others in need anyway possible. As the first person in my family to attend college I am facing many difficulties in succeeding, but I know that I am capable of doing anything I choose to put my mind on. Winning this scholarship would help me out a lot by paying for my education. I understand that the field I have chosen to pursue is difficult and requires many skills to be learned, as well as a lot of experience needed, and. I am fully aware of what it is that I want to be in life and do as a profession so the money would not go to waist.
Majored in accounting during my undergraduate at Michigan State University, I am determined to be an audit professional at a public accounting firm in Toronto upon graduation from MMPA program. To better qualify myself and equip myself with advanced accounting knowledge, I am dedicated to obtaining the CPA designation as well. In the next three to five years, I see myself being promoted from an associate to a manager who will lead a team and direct a project. Working as a manager in a public accounting firm will definitely sharpen my leadership ability and problem-solving skills, which are prerequisites for my long-term career objective. Ten years down the road, I want to work in the finance department of a public company as CFO or controller,
First off, I would like to say again, thank you for nominating me as a possible recipient for this scholarship. I do not think I have ever been recognized for my academic achievements throughout my entire school career. I never was really focused and determined to learn before like I am now. So just the nomination is an honor, no matter if I receive the scholarship or not. Thank you for the recognition. It truly made my day.
I am passionate about making a difference in as many lives as I possibly can. As someone who is also passionate about having a successful future, I believe that achieving this scholarship will allow me to pursue these passions and attain my academic goals of going to graduate school to get my PhD and become a Clinical Psychologist, possibly transfer to UGA as a junior, and to be responsible with my money and the way that I spend it.
When individuals think of scholarships, they tend to believe of the free money through the government, small or large business, and just a person who wants to make a difference. However, when thinking of scholarships, I realize the opportunities of organization(s) is helping me reach my dreams and goals throughout life. In addition, organizations helping reach my goals will influence other individuals to go through the same path as I am. During this essay, I’ll discuss the specific demographic that will help my patients by using my nursing skills, how my background has helped me realize the importance of contributing to my community, and most importantly the less fortunate than myself.
A global citizen is that who is willing to use its voice and knowledge to make a change. No one would ever be able to make a change in just one day, it is something that takes time and devotion. I’m really interested in diversity and I’m seeking to what is my role is as a world citizen. The fact that I’m searching for an international education is the proof of my desire to establish myself as a global citizen and my interest in the world issues.
First, I will express my personal mastery journey with my work life. I just recently graduated from the University of Indianapolis with my undergraduate degree in accounting. I graduated with a high GPA while participating in collegiate baseball, which I believe will help set me apart from others when beginning my career. That being said, I also believe that I have a lot of learning to do in order to be successful in my early career. I feel that I did not learn as much as I should have about accounting and I will need to dedicate a significant amount of time relearning and learning to have success in the accounting field. My vision for my career is to be a partner at a mid-level accounting firm in my early to mid 30’s. I aspire to be at a company that challenges me and allows me to progress and meet my goals. I would prefer a mid-level accounting firm because it would allow a better work life balance due to less hours. In order for me to bridge this very large gap of where I am currently at and where I aspire to be, there are a great deal of obstacles I need to overcome. First, I need to land an entry level position with an accounting firm that I feel will allow me to grow and succeed. I also need to put in the time to learn as much as I can about the profession. Finally, I need to allocate a substantial amount of time to studying and passing the certified public accountant exam. This is my
