Saturday Night Live: Tracy Morgan's Life

Tracy Morgan, the actor for Saturday Night Live, admits that he has no memory of the car accident that nearly ended his life. He says that he does not remember any of it. The only thing that Morgan does remember would be waking up blind from his coma. Morgan has seen a wonderful comeback after recovering from the accident that killed his mentor and friend James McNair.

After the accident, doctors told Morgan's wife that they were not sure if he would ever come out of the coma. When Morgan finally did come out of the coma, he suffered blindness for more than a week. In addition, he had sustained a traumatic brain injury and broken bones from the car accident. For more than five months, Morgan had to be in a wheelchair as they treated him for his injuries and helped him recovery.

This is a common symptom that you find with people who have brain injury. They cannot remember the accident. In one example, a Milwaukee woman had been hit by a car and suffered a brain injury. She had no recollection of the event, but avoided the street where she had been hit simply because she was told that was where she had been hit. Could this lack of memory be a good thing? Morgan's recovery from all of it has beaten the odds in 2015. In the months that followed immediately after, a recovery sounded almost impossible.
