Cell phones in School Imagine that you are in class taking a test, and there is a student who is on his phone cheating, causing distractions, and bullying people in the process. Would you hate that? I know I would. I feel it is disrespectful, and somebody has to put an end to it. If you go to school to learn like everybody else, then you should respect your classmates and keep your phone at home. Cell phones should not be allowed in school because they can be used to bully people, cheating, and cause distractions. School, cell phones, and cyber bullying does not sit well in my stomach. Those three things together reminds of a deer out in the open praying to get shot. I know this because I was cyber bullied last year. There was this group
who took a picture of me during class and post it everywhere saying I look like a certain character. If phones were completely banned from school, I would have never stepped into quicksand, struggling to get out, while having the knowledge I’m only making it worse. When it comes to cell phones, some people think they should not be permitted in schools, and other people think they should be permitted in schools. I agree with the latter opinion for the following reasons: Cell phones are an efficient way to communicate when emergencies occur in school; cell phones can be a great tool for learning during school hours; and the current prohibitive rules on cell phones are merely fruitless efforts. Cell phones should be permitted in schools, because they could be very beneficial and practical in schools.

Over the past 15 years, cell phones have become more and more technologically advanced to the point that they are used in every aspect of our lives. They are there to wake us up in the mornings, they help us keep in touch, they give answers to questions in the matter of seconds, they keep us on top of our to do list, and they play music to help us fall asleep. The big question is, why would they not be incorporated into the classroom? Yes there is some missuses of cell phones in class, but if used, and monitored correctly, they can be a great tool. Even though they can be used to cheat, cell phones should be allowed in school because they have unsurpassed potential for educational use and they can be used to teach maturity in students.
When the teacher asks a student to put their phone away and they don't I think that it is very disrespectful, because the teachers are their to help teach you, and when they are telling you to put their phone away it takes time out of what they're teaching to talk to you specifically. After the teacher asks them to put their phone away they chose not to because they don't think it is that big of deal to have a phone out when the teacher is talking or trying to teach something. I think that having your phone out in class is not only disrespectful to the the teachers but also to the students around them. It is also very disrespectful and frustrating when other students want to learn what is going on but can't because the teacher is telling them to put their phone away every minute of the class. It also might frustrate the students around them that don't have a Iphone

This new guideline upsets many students that use cell phones because they feel that it takes away their freedom. It is a privilege, not a right, that those students even have cell phones, and they are abusing their privilege tremendously. This new guideline is a superior guideline to follow, and in the long run, students will realize how this ban affected their learning experience.
