I was walking home from school with my best friend Allie. We live in Sanibel Island, Florida. It’s beautiful there. There are enviously beautiful white sand beaches and the water is the perfect color of turquoise. Scratchy palm trees and smooth seashells are scattered everywhere. It always smells like tropical fruits. And because we walk home along the beach our walk home always has the best sights you will ever see. “See you tomorrow Meredith,” Allie says with a wave. “See ya,” I say back. I continue to walk the next two blocks to my house alone. Then out of nowhere I hear a “Hello Ms. Evans.” I look around, but there is nobody there. I walk a lot faster. When I get to my house my dad is rushing around trying to find some papers for work, and my mom is in a sparkly purple …show more content…
“ Now to go get those people who threw you off the boat!” “Charge!” All the alligators said in unison. And they did just that they tore down the boat and left Linda and Joe in the water. I guess they didn’t eat them, which is good, but I don’t think they knew how to swim. The first alligator, who I suppose is the head alligator, came up to me and told me “These people have been after people with abnormal abilities for a long time. They are the two most famous ones of their kind in Florida. They are called hunters. They hunt people with abnormal abilities and try to kill them. They believe that if they harness your powers they will live forever. Who you call Linda must of sensed you and came to Sanibel. She is the one that made your parents boat wreck and the cause of their death. “Linda” did this so she could take you here where her partner “Joe” is. Now there are more hunters out there, so you must always be careful and watch your back. I’m so sorry this has happened to you, but you do still need to go and live with your
Santa Catalina Island, often known as Catalina Island, is located off the coast of Southern California, southwest of Los Angeles. Catalina Island forms part of the Channel Islands archipelago. Catalina is the only island, out of eight, that has been significantly developed. There are two major settlement location within the island - the city of Avalon and the unincorporated town of Two Harbors (“Visit Catalina Island,” 2014). We walked around San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico a little. Then we went to the ferry that was taking us where to Culebra. It was about 1pm by now. The ferry ride was about an hour and a half long ride. It was raining a little so we couldn’t sit outside of the boat and see the view. I ended up falling asleep for about half the ride. When we finally got to Culebra, we were so happy. It wasn’t raining anymore, the sun was out, and it was beautiful. At the time we didn’t have car so we were kinda stuck there. After a half hour of calling places to see if they had any cars for rental we finally found a place. We rented two big black jeeps for the next 10 days. When we got the cars and we could drive them around, we drove up the mountain to the house we were staying at for the
The night before leaving I couldn't sleep. When I woke up that morning it was a beautiful spring day. The sun was shining brightly, and the clouds in the sky looked like giant marshmallows. I was so excited because this was my first time going on a vacation. I had already put my suitcases and bags in my car the night before. After I said my goodbyes to my family, I was on my way. I met with Lisa a...
Barbados is one of the eastern most Caribbean islands, found at 13.4n, 54.4w. The island that is less than one million years old, the collision of the Atlantic crustal and Caribbean plates created it, along with a volcanic eruption. Later coral formed, accumulating to about 300ft. It is geologically unique. It is. Two land masses that merged over the years.
Ken saw something with big green glowing eyes. He thought it was Jake and shined his flashlight on the thing with green glowing eyes. When he did, he saw a weird monster with no hair, just white shriveled skin and long fingers razor sharp, kind of like a rake. The monster turned around real quick and looked at Ken. The monster was covered in blood, and right next to the monster, laying on the ground, was his friend Jake. Jakes’ body was being devoured by this monster. Ken realized Jake was dead, and he was about to die too. So, Ken shot the monster but nothing happened to the monster. Then the monster stood up and charged Ken, and Ken was frozen in fear, and he knew he was going to die. Twenty seconds later Ken was dead, and his body was being devoured just like his friend Jake.
Erin and I woke up and looked out the window. The Pacific Ocean with the Hawaiian palm trees looked more beautiful than ever. We walked down to go paddle boarding. I thought it was going to be easy since I have been surfing since I was little and paddle boarding was similar.
“Yeah,” Billy nodded. “Bring it to the edge and toss it here.” It fell into the water with a heavy splash. Billy pulled the alligator’s head up to his chest, thus freeing his left hand so he could grab the branch. “Now, go back to the others,” he instructed his younger brother. “I don’t want you to see what I’m going to do.”
When we arrived at my aunt's house we unpacked our baggs and before we knew it we were out doing all sorts of things, we drove around town, looked at all the nice scenery of which i had never seen before, we went to different restaurants and tried some different food such as alligator, and different types of fish id never tried before. Then we got to go to the beach, it was great, we spent all day at the beach it seemed like. The beach was white, the sand was all white, and the water was a bright blue, with calm waves crashing against the coast, it was one of the most amazing things i’d witnessed, being from illinois and all. We had gone to the beach a couple times while visiting, the first time we played games like beach volleyball and football and just layed out on the beach and did some swimming. The second time we went a little later and it was late noon out, and we built a little fire and roasted marshmallows and made smores, we weren't able to swim though because it was very dark and windy and the waves were rough crashing up on the
The breathtaking scenery just swept me off my feet. The pavements, trees and even the vehicles by the roadside were covered under the thick layer of snow. As I walked down the streets, the refreshing winter breeze blew against my face. It was like a dream come true. I was in Japan, the country I have wanted to visit all my life. That December holiday, my parents finally decided to bring the family for a holiday in Japan.
The sunset consumed the side of the Caribbean sea as ocean breeze hit me. I was on a island. The view was amazing, especially the noises. the waves moved with a never ending motion, and the palm trees were swaying forward and backwards with a calm swish. It even smelled good. This truly was a paradise .
When she was 15, she fell in love with a boy, who spilled d a drink on her at a party. “I’m so sorry about that … my name’s Zand by the way,” he said.
We woke up, showered, packed and headed down stairs to have one last breakfast by the beach. After breakfast, the children went down to the beach to collect sea shell souvenirs, as the adults loaded the vehicles. Not wanting to end our vacation, my husband and I went out back to have a cup of coffee for an hour or so watching the children collect their sea shells. The time has come to leave the property and hit the road. Not knowing it was a popular vacation destination, we sat for hours waiting to cross the border with so many vehicles and motorcycles. In the meantime, we began to share things we loved about our vacation while we made it home in the next four hours. Hopefully we are able to have another trip like this again since it was an unforgettable best vacation
Have you ever visited a place so beautiful and serene that you couldn’t imagine a more stunning place? For me, it is the shimmering and flowing waters of the ocean. The way that the deep blue waters meet the gritty beige sand leaves me in such awe. The water is like a soft blanket, comforting and inviting. The unique wildlife and vegetation that exists on the beach is something I’ve never seen anywhere else. There is no place more beautiful and thrilling than the beach.

It was summer break, in about mid-July; I decided to take a little trip for my birthday weekend. Feeling the fitful breeze as it passed through the tiny hairs on my hands and feet soothed me. It was at that moment, it really hit me! I was no longer home, but in a place I would love to call home. The trip to Hawaii was really like no other. People were hurriedly moving to get to their different destinations and I was amazed how they were moving but still took the time out to greet me. The atmosphere and the surrounding was as clean as a whistle. For me, it made inhaling fun. Superb, was just one of the many words I could come up with to describe the mouth-watering dishes that I was served. I am still marveled at the fact that all my fingers are intact. My experience at the beach was also amazing. The little pebbles hid in the warm sand as the water greeted the shore, stealing some pebbles at each visit. Everything
