The study of sightings of unexplainable creatures seen by the residents of the San Luis Valley is a research of the stories of creatures people have seen which have no logical explanation now. Are these creatures, myths or something unexplainable? Are there environmental conditions to the sightings? The interviews conducted gave an insight into a complex dilemma of the sightings. Not only are the people varied, the sighted creatures are varied as well. People have often seen the same type of unexplainable creatures; however, this study has focused on the different types of creatures seen. The exploration of this sub-culture has yielded more questions than answers.

Numerous sightings of odd lights, cattle mutilations, fantastic aerial machines, and even stranger creatures have been seen in the valley beginning when people arrived in the area. Legends of creatures, not normally seen are numerous. From the Pueblo tribe, we get the creator legend of Bigfoot, Talulukang is the serpent who holds the world together and the forty-foot raptor, which lives on the east side of the valley is the thunderbird. Snippy the horse was the first official mutilation near the Great Sand Dunes. A UFO watchtower was constructed in the valley because of the numerous sightings of flying machines and unexplained lights. Bigfoot Angel

The authors hypothesize string and M-brane theory can be a possible explanation of one or several parallel universes allowing beings from another universe access to our own. Three theories have been evaluated; wormholes to provide shortcuts, Alcubierre Warp Drive, and the possibility of adjacent universes where the speed of light may be different (Deardorff, et al. n.d.). The article proposes the ethical behavior of extraterrestrials who are in careful contact with a less advanced civilization on Earth, leaving behind no evidence and carefully contacting humans. The authors speculate on the intent of the aliens by stating the aliens may be wanting to study a civilization uncontaminated by visitations from other alien species. The ability of creatures to travel to our world would be an advantage to humans because of the obvious fact they are more advanced than humans. The question of why has the public been left in the dark about these visitations

Has it been seen since? Nothing has sparked the world’s imagination and curiosity, as has the mystery behind Point Pleasant, West Virginia’s Mothman. Was there such a thing as the Mothman? The details found in all of the facts that I will show you definitely point to yes. You will agree with me after you hear about the first sightings of the Mothman, eyewitness accounts of how these sightings changed their lives, and a look at the media’s reports of the incidents that happened during this time.
Nathanael West’s The Day of the Locust tells the story of people who have come to California in search

Around June 25th, 1947 a pilot, Ken Arnold had reported strange objects in the sky while flying near Mt. Rainer, Washington. He stated that they flew like "saucers being skipped over water." This was where the term "Flying Saucers" derived from. The Roswell UFO Incident all started on the evening of July 3, 1947, Dan Wilmot and his wife were sitting on their front porch when they saw the distinct shape of a saucer flying through the sky. A few days prior to this sighting, military radar in the area was tracking an Unidentified Flying Object for four days. On Independence Day the radar indicated that the object had gone down about 30-40 miles Northwest of Roswell. A few days after the actual sighting from the Wilmot's, W.W. Brazel, the Foreman of the J.B. Foster Ranch went to check on his sheep after some intense thunderstorms the night prior. He happened to discover a very large amount of debris of an unknown metallic substance scattered throughout the field. It was also stated that he stumbled across a shallow trench in the ground that stretched hundreds of feet. Brazel would gather some of this debris to show family and friends. A few days after he would contact sheriff Wilcox of Chaves County. Once Wilcox had the information he needed, he contacted the Roswell Army Air Force Base, where Major Jessie Marcel was briefed to look int...
This provides powerful insight into the role Bigfoot like creatures played in Native American cultures. Some tribes were not afraid of the creatures, considering them kind and helpful, while peacefully coexisting with them. Other tribes found them to be more violent and dangerous creatures. The fact that these tribes called the animals Stick Indians or Brush Indians seems to suggest that the creatures were simply other tribes they did not get along with opposed to a village of mythical creatures. Some examples of Bigfoot like creatures in Native American tribes include the Chiye – Tanka, the Lofa, the Maxemista, and the popular Sasquatch. The Chiye – Tanka was the Bigfoot like creature of the Sioux Indians (“Native American,” n.d.). This animal
First of all, Mary Shelley describes the Creature with "yellow skin scarcely covered the work of muscles and arteries beneath; his hair was luxurious black, and flowing; his teeth of pearly whiteness; but these luxuriances only formed a more horrid contrast with hid watery eyes, that seemed almost of the same colour as the dun-white sockets in which they were set, his shrivelled complexion and straight black lips." Despite his appearance o...
In order to prove to everyone this creature is real, stories should be told in order to persuade them. The first sightings of this creature started around 1995, when a man was noticing his animals acting strange on his farm in Puerto Rico. He really didn’t understand why they were acting strange that night, although they seemed very afraid of something. The next morning he woke up to find his two goats dead, and the next couple nights he began his search for what has done it. One night he saw a creature that was the perfect description of what is known as the Chupacabra today. The name Chupacabra literally means “goat-sucker” so from that day on the search had began and is still continuing in Central America and even the US (“Unique Facts about Mexico: Chupacabra”). This is just one of the countries that have been affected by this animal and something tells me it isn’t going to be the last.
The preserving modern folk tale that is the invasion of aliens, is fully knotted within the cultural fear that one day in the near future, a threat of some unknown origin will be more powerful, more capable at warfare than we American’s can ever be. No mater the impossibility, it is a perceived end to the very short colonization of the North Americas. In 1947 a few miles from Roswell, NW, Mack Brazel found debris from an unidentified flying object scattered in a three-mile arc on his land. According to the myth told by the International UFO Museum Research Center in Roswell, NW, the metal had strange pictorial writings on the “I” beams and were purple in color. (IUFORMC NM Inc.) This tale is so widely told in Roswell, that there has been a whole industry developed there to preserve this ledged of the alien crash landing and the Military’s collection of the debris and cover-up of the visitors from outer space.
Some time in July of 1947, a mysterious flying object zigzagged across the skies of New Mexico. Within twenty-four hours the object disappeared from radar just as mysteriously as it had appeared. It was last seen in a small town in the middle of the Arizona desert, it’s name, Roswell.
Through the years there has been many ideas to what goes bump in the night. Mysterious, unsolved happenings blamed on the so-called supernatural. There are many myths, legends and lore based on these so called mysterious happenings. Through this research paper I am going to help to explain the biggest threats, conspiracies, and misunderstandings of aforementioned legends, myths, and lore.
When most people think of paranormal activity they instantly think of ghosts, spirits, or even demons. Paranormal activity is more than that. Paranormal is when something is beyond normal and activity is the state of being active. Some people like to say it’s their imagination, but me personally, I think it is much more than that. Paranormal is used to describe something unordinary that lack a scientific explanation (Cha Cha Inc., 2006). (McGuire, 2010) stated that supernatural or paranormal events which occur when people are not seeking them out can be very difficult and frightening. Most people wonder about the different ways paranormal activity can be explained. A few different examples of paranormal activity are ghosts, levitation, telegraphs, etc. Footsteps, abnormal sounds, shadows, and even moving objects are all signs of paranormal activity.
aranormal activity has been a cause of fear and excitement throughout history. The unknown attracts the curiosity from those who wonder whether the supernatural is real or a figment of the imagination. Ghosts are one of the supernatural beings whose existence is questioned every day. Many want to deny the existence of ghosts because they are terrified of other phantoms who may exist and ignore the evidence that has been brought forth throughout the years. However, ghosts are supernatural pheromones whose existence still impacts today’s society.
According to Jacobs, people first started to report alien abductions in the early 1900’s. In Florida, a Boys Scoutmaster, Sonny Desvergers, asserted that he saw a ball of light coming from a flying saucer and then lost conscious (Jacobs). He woke up 45 minutes later in a different place from where he was before (Jacobs). At the time, his case was judged to be a hoax (Jacobs). The only thing that investigators couldn’t seem to figure out was how Desvergers was able to burn the roots of the grass where he was “abducted,” but not the top of the grass (Jacobs).
. At the town of Roswell an Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) crash landed in the quiet little town. Many Roswell residents testified that they saw a burning object plummet toward the ground before exploding upon impact. The Air Force's initial reaction to the incident was to tell the world that they did not know what it was. This shows me evidence that they had no “protocol” for this kind of occurrence, thus the Military leader stepped in and covered everything up. This incident caught the attention of citizens of the United States, local officials, and the media. It has especially gained interest in a variety of Special interest groups/ groups that specialize in researching and investigating events that involve UFO’s.
