Formerly known as Adolescent Reproductive Health Programs, the Sexual and Reproductive Health Unit (SRHU) has worked with youth-serving organizations for (xx) years. Through that time, they have developed a number of resources for usage by Teens in New York City. One of the most notable resources is their Clinic Guide, a wallet sized guide to clinics in New York City, in all five boroughs that provide low-cost and confidential services to teens as well as those of legal adult age. While they had been providing resources such as the clinic guide for a number of years, there was never a clear way for them to ensure their proper use and distribution. This past year, they developed the Teens in NYC: Getting Sexual Health Services Workshop Facilitation Guide. The workshop is designed for use with teens aged 13-19 and can be used by any person who is comfortable with the material, regardless of whether or not they have any prior health education history. Featuring a role-play and an activity, which explicitly requires use of either the Clinic Guide or the mobile app developed for use, the workshop would ensure that teens are properly instructed and exposed to the clinic guide and the possibilities for receiving services in New York City.

In my discussion I will be addressing three main issues that concern sexuality. The subjects are prostitution, premature ejaculation, and abortion. Although these topics concern different aspects of sexuality, I still chose to discuss them either because they relate to my sexual experiences, or because I wanted to further educate myself on the subject due to my lack of sexual experience and knowledge in the field.
The program called Don’t Be a Sexual Statistic (DBASS), is based on the HYA and implements their mission to provide truthful information regarding reproductive health education in the North Carolina school system. This program requires all seven to ninth graders to have a class every semester or year pertaining to each grade level, teaching the students about reproductive health education. The target group for DBASS, is young children to teenagers from ages twelve to fifteen. This focuses on seven to ninth graders in the North Carolina school system. With students today ages fifteen to nineteen having sex a least once (Guttmacher.org, 2010), shows that the old ways of teaching health education needs to be revised. This statistics shows that increasing knowledge with comprehensive sex and reproduction health could help lower the statistics and help the students make wiser decision in their future.
I would welcome the opportunity to expand upon my application either through a visit to the school and/or at interview.
I would ask the reader to do an extensive review of what has been discussed in this paper compare and contrast of the information present allowing can make an informed decision of what Sex Education program you believe to be the best for the implementation in our education systems.

Sex and relationship education (SRE) supports children through their moral, physical and psychological aspects of growing up to be an adult, and making sure they have knowledge on relationships, sex, human sexuality and sexual health (Sex Education Forum, 2010). There are three main elements in SRE, the first element is attitudes and values, which is about developing positive values and being able to consider moral issues before they make their decisions on having intercourse (Kirby, 2007). The second element is personal and social skills, which is about teaching children to have the confidence to value themselves and others, to become respectful of individual conscience and the skills to judge the kind of relationship they want; the third element is about accessing the knowledge and understanding of human sexuality, reproduction, sexual health, emotions and relationships (Kirby, 2007). The potential effect of SRE should be seen in these three areas, which include reduction in teenage pregnancy, and the chances of getting sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and being sexually assaulted, etc. SRE can either be given at home to the child by parents, in school by teachers, or in youth organizations, alternative educational institutions, or youth offending organizations by Shine staff or trained peer educators and volunteers (Levy 1992).
Upon further research, it came to my attention that only 24 of the 50 states require sex education. Sex has always been a touchy subject for man to discuses, especially in an educational environment. Due to my lack of knowledge of the subject, talking about sex makes me feel vulnerable, although I know it shouldn’t. Thankfully, I have gained a new appreciation to the educational element involved with sex, through this course and the Roger hock text
The Sexuality Education Initiative was developed by the Planned Parenthood of Los Angeles with the goal of “improving the sexual and reproductive health of low-income youth in high school.” By decreasing the student’s risk of pregnancy and STDs through education, as well as teaching them how to carry themselves, they aimed to make improvements on the students overall quality of life both short and long term. About 1800 students were studied, half receiving the new curriculum (variable group) and half receiving the basic sex education (control group). The students were tested before and after learning the material, and the results were astounding. The results found that there was a consistent pattern of the variable group scoring significantly better than the control group after being taught for 6 weeks. These results suggested to researchers that if this curriculum were to be integrated into public schooling, there would be a sharp decrease in the amount of students dropping out of high school, or becoming infected with an STD
Many individuals of a different culture, race, and religion trust that, keeping in mind the end goal to give a chance to wholeness, we should likewise give data that will empower all individuals to settle on life insisting choices—and this incorporates giving far reaching data about sexuality (Hanson). Accoding to Newsweek (1991), starting 1991, 1600 school areas across the country has been utilizing sex instruction educational modules called Sex Respect. Sex Respect adopts a significantly unique strategy from the other instructive projects. Sex Respect is a political preservationist's approach for sex training where the main goal of this educational program is to teach and that abstinence is the only approach that is moral and safe. The educational module shows that condoms can be the street to destroy in light of the fact that many fall flat and pregnancy comes
