Except Samuel joined them about halfway through the ride. All three of the men were captured. Samuel Prescott was able to escape right away but William Dawes and Paul Revere were there for a while but William got out after Samuel and Paul stayed until he was released. William wasn’t able to go to Concord even though he escaped because he lost his horse so that’s what ended his ride. When Samuel escaped he warned the town of Concord that the British were coming. He had to send the message because William and Paul were not able to escape or ride to Concord. So because of Samuel Prescott the message was delivered. If he didn’t escape and warn the town then the British would have went to Concord with a surprise attack wanting to take all the ammunition and weapons that the patriots were hiding. Samuel was the only patriot that reached Concord. Samuel Prescott isn’t given much credit for his accomplishments. But he was a big part of the midnight ride and and had an amazing success completing The Midnight Ride. If he didn’t escape prison and go to Concord then history would have been very much different. Samuel Prescott should get more credit because he changed history. He was only there because he was visiting his sick wife so thats why he joined the ride about halfway through. ...s, an artisan and whose practical skill at achieving things done most resembles other American heroes. Fisher explained the courageous journey Paul Revere went through along with representing all that was best in the American character and Lieutenant-General Thomas Gage. Although viewing himself as a liberal and reasonable man who had originally liked Americans and was ended up married to one, Gage had come to hate the Bostonians among whomever else he found himself with during his role as military commander. The action of the book was presented in fifteen chapters (as well as an introduction, aftermath, and epilogue) with the famous alarm itself as midpoint. Paul Revere’s Ride did a great job sketching itself in every detail to explain both Gages, and Revere’s journeys.
How is it possible that a single person's actions could change how the world is shaped today? General Henry Knox was one unknown hero of the Revolutionary War who came as an individual and influenced an entire group of people. Henry Knox was the first Secretary of War under the command of President George Washington, one of the few known American Revolutionary War heroes. According to Jack Kelly, author of “Band of Giants: The Amateur Soldiers Who Won America’s Independence,” “Knox was really responsible for the patriots’ first victory when they forced the British out of Boston.” He even served as the first trusted secretary of war and advisor to President Washington for the new United States.

As the story goes on it is the next morning, and attention is called to a man named John Parker. At this point the British soldiers along with General Gage were marching toward concord. When this occurred there were also minutemen or the American soldiers waiting there as well to engage in a battle. This is seen in the poem. The man tells John Parker to look outside his windows and to witness independence. He says this because both men believe that the American soldiers will win. It is to say that they have no doubt in there minds that they will win. Continuing on, as the British approached concord and so the American soldiers are told to line up in formation. This man asks for all the men of [President] Lincoln to start getting ready to fight. He mentions that through the wounds of this war liberty will be won, because these men know that some will die in order to win. The poet calls Prescott and Revere in hurry. He tells the other men such as Chelmsford, Littleton, Carlisle, and others to line up in formation.
In the minds of most Americans, the name of Paul Revere forever conjures up the image of the lone patriotic rider shrouded in the darkness of the New England night. His mission: to inform the countryside that the Regulars are coming. On this night, the fate of the natural rights of all men in the new world seemed to rest on his shoulders. As terrifically romantic as this thought may be, it is far from the truth. Revere's midnight ride was anything but the heroics of just one man; rather, it can be much better summarized as the collective effort and doings of all New England Whigs. (ANB)

... up with the French and his troops turned his tactical blunders during the Siege of Savannah into a consequence that cost them the lives of many and a needless waste of time, effort, and money. The French made a lasting imprint in history because of their participation in the Revolutionary War. For the Siege of Savannah, however, one of the most crucial times when it was needed in the South, the French did not meet up with their expectations due to a combination of bad luck and strategical mistakes. The result was that many extra battles were fought, many more lives were claimed, and much more time and money was wasted. The Siege of Savannah was not just important for people who lived in Georgia, but also for everyone else participating in the war, whether they produced cloth at mills in Great Britain, or they wrote letters to their husband hoping to be written back.

...n Thomas Preston has portrayed the correct story. The reason for my decision is because unlike Paul Revere Captain Thomas Preston portrays a very detailed story on the events that occurred that day. He also admits to being at fault for some of the retched things that have occurred that day. While on the other hand Paul Revere was very one sided and only tried to portray the troops as bad men. Captain Thomas Preston even though only captain for the day, he made a difference in history.
