After their first successful album DNA, Little Mix is back with their new album Salute. Salute is very Destiny’s Child and Beyoncè inspired, which is completely different than their first album. These four British girls Perrie (20), Jade (21), Jesy (22) and Leigh-Anne (22) have taken the world by storm with the sixteen song track list; it’s hard to pick a favourite.
Track one Salute is an upbeat song that is about gaining respect for women in the work force, especially in regards to the defence force. The sound is dark throughout the track, at the beginning of the song there are alarms and trumpets playing. As of now there is no music video yet, however, there is one in the process. The lyrics speak to many women who are in male dominated work forces. The song tells the audience that you do not need to change for a job and that it is time for women to stand up for their rights. Perrie has said on Instagram that this is her favourite song to dance to. The girls released a single album cover for Salute; this is a look into what will be expected from the music video.
Track two is the massive hit Move. This is about a girl liking a new guy and her wanting to be impressed, in the song the easiest way for a guy to grab her attention is to dance. The sound is up lifting which makes the audience want to get up and dance. Like most dancers say to get lost in the beat of the music, this song easily allows that for the audience. In the music video the Little Mix girls are dancing and gaining attention from male dancers. The setting is very basic so that the audience focuses just on the dancing and not what is going on in the background. The girls released a single album cover for Move.
Track three is the beautiful Little Me. This song is a...

...t moving on that is track ten. This song is about not only a relationship that has ended but also about a friendship that was holding someone back. Someone wanting the other person to change something about their personality that then triggers their insecurities which can leave them questioning the relationship/friendship. The beat of this song is very slow which builds slightly in the chorus, then becoming very slow yet again. In the chorus the piano slightly builds and the girl’s voices build and become louder to signify their hurt. There has been no single album that has been released.
Salute has given Little Mix a new feisty and bold look that has not been seen before with girl groups. After winning the UK X-Factor in 2011 these girls have come a long way and have had creative input with their album. 12 out of the 16 songs were written by the girls as a team.
