1. Introduction
From its humble beginning in Dublin 1969, Primark, under the trading name of Penneys in Ireland, has fast become a fashion sensation with 270 stores spreading across the nine European countries. Owned by Associated British Foods, Primark has come a long way in Europe by establishing themselves as a high street brand with a potent dose of affordable and fashionable clothes that greatly appeals to Men, Women and Teenagers alike.
As often compared to the Swedish giant clothing retailer H&M, Primark (Ireland) is now looking to venture into the Asia market by setting up their first flagship store in Singapore, one of Asia’s leading fashion hub. This report aims to explore and recommend the most suitable job design, recruitment and selection strategies to align with Primark’s vision to provide quality service to its customer. Scally, D. Firstly, the company’s main strength relies on the location of the different branches, being placed strategically so it is easier to bring in more consumers as well as being easily accessible for people around those areas.
