“Constant efforts, dedication, devotion and determination are the key to success” This principle I have followed in my career. Setting goals and striving hard to accomplish them has always been my strength in professional as well as personal life. I have always been amazed by computers, code –programs and was keen to understand the underlying meaning, gimmick, structure and pattern of how programs actually work. Learning about simple Foxpro programs, excel sheet formulae, C programs at an early age heightened my interest in computer programs. This childhood interest urged me to do a diploma in information technology and later bachelor’s degree in the same area. Having completed six years course in Information Technology, and two years of experience in IT. I stand by the principal “Stay Hungry” and this has helped me in achieving my goals. Standing by this I would like to explore ahead and pursue MS in MIS. I would like emerge to put to use this knowledge to pursue MS program in MIS.

I am currently employed as a Software Engineering Senior Analyst at Accenture. The Information system advances so rapidly that at times it is too difficult to keep up with it without proper knowledge and experience. While most of the people do get a relatively easy entry in the field after under graduation, it is very difficult to aim for a constant growth only on that basis. The field demands upgraded knowledge and experience for career growth and (achieve goals). And that is why I aspire, to pursue Masters in Management Information Systems at your esteemed University.
"Anything is possible. You can be told that you have a 90 percent chance or a 50 percent chance or a 1 percent chance, but you have to believe, and you have to fight." This quote by Lance Armstrong has been my inspiration through most difficult parts of my life. Computer Science has always been my passion since the time I used to play with computer games as a child and fiddle with the CPU parts. Vision and drive are two qualities that are fundamental to an innovator’s success. Master of Information Management and Systems is a specialized form of database management and engineer- ing. It is this field that will help me widen my breadth of knowledge beyond a specific technical field, into management and database.
A fascination for Science & Technology and keen interest in the ever-growing world of technology motivated me to take up engineering. The power of research and delivering it for the growth of Society is what makes me interested in the technology side of science. I choose to major Computer science Engineering with an intense urge to delve into this challenging field. During my under graduation program I learned the various fundamentals of Computer science Engineering which together with practical course works reinforced my interest.
In conclusion, I believe that I have the required zeal to progress my knowledge further at the University of Southern California. My decision to focus on Cybersecurity over the years, has equipped me with a unique set of strengths that I can put to use in the program. Being an International student, I hope to contribute to the already existing multiethnic and multiracial society at your esteemed institution. After I earn my master's degree, I intend to start work on my Ph.D. in Computer Science. I see Ph. D as a professional stepping stone that would help me work in the area of research and development for the Government of India. It is in R & D that I believe, I can make the greatest contribution, utilizing my theoretical background and creativity as a scientist.
I took up Computer Science and Engineering as my discipline in Bhoj Reddy Engineering College for Women affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, one of the premier institutes in India. My undergraduate education has been a great learning and enriching process for me. It exposed me to all the core areas of Computer Science like operating systems, database management systems, networks and network security, data structures, algorithms and software engineering. These courses have given me a good foundation in the core concepts. My interest lies in Database Management, Programming Languages, Theory of Computation, and Software Engineering. I am fully acquainted with the fast growing subjects like Object Oriented Programming, Analysis and Design. On the other hand, the intensive laboratory classes exposed me to a fascinating world of experimentation. It was here that I discovered the qualities of perseverance and diligence in myself. I feel that these courses have done a lot to prepare me for my future studies and research work.
In addition, this specialization is considered the umbrella that covers all majors in computers like Computer Science and Computer information technology, because it makes the mixture between everything about them. The computer information system is studying the required administrative system implementation and how to integrate technology with this system with efficient ways. Moreover, this specialization focuses on systems analysis, design, work of databases, and networks more than Computer Science. So the primary responsibility for computer information system specialists is to make combine between technical solutions and business processes. As well as, transform all paper need of business organization from paper to computer. There are four tracks for computer information system. Some of them required in the labor market such as decision support systems and management information systems [2] because these two tracks organize mechanism business organizations. On the other hand, some of them not required in the labor market in my country for example electronic systems development and applied information systems. Finally, the average salary for this specialty amounts to
My interest in Information Systems Management was drawn when I was working on my final year project at Maharashtra Institute of Technology under the able guidance of the head of the Computer Engineering department. Professor R. K. Bedi’s support provided a much needed boost to my confidence in my programming skills. This new found confidence, in conjunction with the organization management skills I had acquired through active participation in extracurricular activities like “Tesla”, in inter college programming fest, made me realize I wanted to pursue a program that had comprised a blend of both the computer science and management disciplines.
It was during the terminal phase of my salad days that I met my destiny –Computer, a wonder machine. I always believed that growing field like computers along with management would spell wonders in future. Revelations made by the use of computers in every field from basic agriculture to sophisticated industries created this confidence in me. This excited me to choose Management Information Systems as my area of study. We must have in depth technical knowledge in both computer hardware and system software to become a successful Information System’s Engineer.
After my high school, I enrolled for Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science at the Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, Tamil Nadu to gain further knowledge and progress myself in this field. I always had a keen desire to do electrical engineering but my under graduation degree started with majors in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. During my course of study I had developed love for Physics and Mathematics. I would spend many hours solving complex equations, dealing with numerical based Physics Problems. I got more inclined towards solving more physics problems because it would provide me with a clear picture and a better understanding to a derived model. For example why can’t an electron exist inside the nucleus of an atom? The uncertainty principle was better understood when I solved a problem on particle confinement.
Computers and Technology have fascinated me right from my childhood and I have always had it in my mind to choose Information Technology for my engineering. As the years passed my eagerness grew and so did my thirst to attain higher education and now is the perfect time for me to ignite the spark in me. This has given me the courage to analyze the fact that I have a herculean task ahead in order to comprehend an extensive proportion of subject and enjoy it while assimilating the problems.
