Skeleton Creek was a great book that included drama and confidence. I think the Ryan and Sarah were confident, and had drama in the book because a lot went on. They would hang out no matter what. But one time they went to a place where no one was aloud. Ryan had broke his leg trying to get out of the place. They got caught by their parents and said they couldn’t hang any more. But they refused to do what they had told them. So they still hang out they just sneak out at night. They had got caught once again so Sarah had to move. Ryan had a good idea they would text each other and email each other, it had worked for a while but not as well as they thought it would. The two main characters are Ryan and Sarah. Ryan and Sarah are like the best
of friends they hang around each other no matter what. Ryan is tall, blond hair, and he broke his leg. Ryan acts like he is all big and bad because he likes Sarah. Sarah is short, with black and brown hair. Sarah acts like she is not so tomboy kinda like a girly girl because she likes Ryan. But you can tell she is a tomboy just not around Ryan. So Ryan is acting tough for Sarah. Sarah is acting like a girly girl because she knows Ryan likes her. Ryan and Sarah are in trouble with their parents. I think the book compares to the book Dork Diaries. Because you can tell that the charters in both book like each other but then they don't wanna tell each other. One thing that is different is that in Skeleton Creek was that Ryan and Sarah would sneak out at night and go to the dredge to see why the city hall type thing wants to tear it down. In Dork Diaries that doesn’t happen. But I would say that they are some what alike and some what not alike. I would have to give this book a 5/5 because it was a good book. I am sure if you were to read this book you would love it. This book gets a 10/10 because it had great details. It made you feel like you were there with Ryan and Sarah. This book made me feel like I was with them on an adventure. This book has very good details and describing works. It made me have the chills for a while. But yeah, I would say this book is really good and gets a 5/5.
The book Trouble,by Gary D. Schmidt, is based on the Smith family who lives in Blythbury-by-the-Sea, which is a small, quiet town by the Atlantic Shore. The family believes that if you build your house far enough from trouble, trouble will not be able to find you. Then, abruptly, their life takes a turn for the worse and trouble finds them. Henry, the youngest of the Smith family, and Franklin, the oldest of the Smith boys, planned a trip to climb the mountain of Katahdin, but now, because of the trouble, Henry sets out to climb it with his best friend Sanborn. On this journey, he meets the person who started the trouble in his family, Chay Chouan, who goes with him. The two characters Henry and Chay have characteristics and traits that are the same, but they also have very different personalities and backgrounds and family styles.

Up until and during the mid -1800’s, women were stereotyped and not given the same rights that men had. Women were not allowed to vote, speak publically, stand for office and had no influence in public affairs. They received poorer education than men did and there was not one church, except for the Quakers, that allowed women to have a say in church affairs. Women also did not have any legal rights and were not permitted to own property. Overall, people believed that a woman only belonged in the home and that the only rule she may ever obtain was over her children. However, during the pre- Civil war era, woman began to stand up for what they believed in and to change the way that people viewed society (Lerner, 1971). Two of the most famous pioneers in the women’s rights movement, as well as abolition, were two sisters from South Carolina: Sarah and Angelina Grimké.
life without them once they leave. The stories both discuss the challenges that they both must
I chose this memoir after reading the brief summary because it’s a true story, told by Ryan Smithson himself. His story is an account of a teenager, only a few years older than my peers and I. I had skimmed through the first chapter, and was captivated.
One Tree Hill is an American series that started back in 2003. It is set in a fictional town Tree Hill in North Carolina. One Tree Hill is a nine season story that starts off junior year in high school. Each episode focuses on relationships with friends, partners and parents. This is a hit TV drama, what makes it great is the message behind each plot, relatability, interesting actors, unique soundtrack, and good use of camera angles.
I do not agree with Emilys deed, but admire her inflexible love. She reminds me to be careful when choosing a beloved. It is important to find someone who suits you. The other protagonist, Sarty, shows strong self-awareness. He is young, but he is able to determine right and wrong.
My recommendation for this book would be that this book is just a fun read, nothing to serious. But yet it's a book were its easy to relate to were a lot of the situations that happen in the book happen in young teenage life as well. Like for example the desperation to fit in. kids will do most likely anything to be part of "the cool group" hopefully not take some sort of pill that will talk to you in your head. But other things like being pressured into talking drugs. Sneaking out of the house to go to some party and not coming back until the next day at dawn without getting caught. These days we do so much and our parents know so little.
Tragedy, however, almost strikes as the narrator takes this break from reality. As the family reaches Miles City, Montana, the two young children become captivated by the thought of swimming in a refreshing pool. No adults are aloud into the pool area during the lunch break, but the children are still able to take a swim with the lifeguard present. As the narrator steps out of sight, the youngest girl’s curiosity captures her, and she almost drowns in the pool. Meg had nearly submerged before the mother had a vague premonition that something on this afternoon is very wrong. Running toward the pool, the girl’s parents reach her in time, but this incident seeps much deeper as the mother gains wisdom and identity from the experience.
Starting at a young age, the main characters lives are intertwined. They form a special bond, which have both positive and negative affects on their relationship. At the time when Jim and Antonia are growing up, a rigid social structure exists in Nebraska. This social difference contributed to the creation and alteration of their friendship; in part, it is responsible for their behavior toward one another.
...tions of the first paragraph. The setup of the story definitely builds of tension because the entire time you are learning about the personalities of theses girls and the way there school is run. You learn all about them and all you want to know is why. Wanting to know why the girls walked out of school keeps you reading the entire story and makes the huge scene at the end even more meaningful.
I picked The Longest Ride as my movie to show examples of Luke Collins and Sophia Danko in relationship stages because I recently watched the movie and remembered it having a good story, building up a relationship, but also having problems and breaking up. This movie does an excellent job showing the first four stages: initiating, experimenting, intensifying, and integration. On the other hand the last four stage: differentiating, circumscribing, stagnating, and terminating, was a little more challenging, in account of them experiencing a break up and then eventually getting back together quickly.
With creative words, settings and writing format Stephen Chbosky is able to paint a vivid picture in the readers mind. When Chbosky does this, he makes the reader feel like they are right there in that specific scene. This allows the reader to become a teenager again, it allows them to be a wallflower and take in all that is going on. With his great use of imagery, Chbosky is able to add much needed drama to the book. He makes it seem like you are the teenager and you are the ones going through these struggl...
The main characters consist of two brothers, Sam and Dean Winchester and their angel friend Castiel Novak or Cas who comes on the show about season four. There is also a hunter who used to work with their dad named Bobby Singer, a deceitful demon who is also the King of Hell called Crowley, and other hunters that they encounter while they are trying to rid the world of demons and other supernatural creatures. Ryan was really interesting - he is the guy that everyone knows, but really isn't a dickhead. I enjoyed when we were reading about him. He has this standard for himself and when everything falls apart - he just doesn't know how to deal with it.
