In the first place I come to Rutgers University an experienced Man, experienced in life. I've grown humble, stronger and smarter over the past 12 years since earning my Bachelors. I hold a degree in Administration of Justice with a minor in Sociology from Southern Illinois University. Undoubtedly, I've been dreaming of attending Rutgers since 2015, when I allowed my mind to think of returning to College. Recognizing now with my first degree I didn't understand the beauty of University life and the true opportunity I was privileged too. Currently my dream of being a Rutgers student is to walk the campus with a renewed sense of purpose and a better sense of mission, driven to become an attorney. My experience in the Army taught me as a Man that I move more purposefully when I have a well-defined mission. I know exactly what I want to achieve at …show more content…
Rutgers University. I want to become a lawyer. Rutgers has a great law program, known Nationally as being among the best. I know with guidance and the vision that I developed in my career at Rutgers, I'll have a well-lit path for me to walk remaining focused and driven to completion. I agree with the mission statement at Rutgers University.
My affiliation with fraternity has taught me to love and respect our shared community. I also learned that my good actions matter to the lives and well being of the citizens of our community. I know my time and studies at Rutgers University will only grow my understanding of belonging to something greater then myself. I can say as a Man that gathered this when I read the Rutgers mission statement. Rutgers University is here to enrich those who attend and the community at large. I’ve learned campus life is filled with moments that build unforgettable memories. I hope to join the community at Rutgers and prove myself a valuable asset as well as getting involved with charities. My goal is to become a public servant of the community after I graduate. I envision myself, and fellow classmate studying long hours at beautiful Paul Roberson library. The Library is a favorite place to study for me. I’ve always joined the whole community and participated in several organizations on and off campus. Not one to feign invisibility I come with my sleeves rolled up egger to get
involved. My attending Rutgers is not solely for the degree. As a Man who has lived and experienced life I know my time at Rutgers is my life. I am here with a well-defined purpose and goal. To become a better man under the excellent guidance and instruction of professors and peer mentors.

I believe Clark Atlanta University will prepare me for future leadership by creating and building new traits within me. I want the opportunity to prove that I can become someone significant even with the guidance of my peers. By attending Clark Atlanta University, I will be able to learn the skills that a leader should possess, whether within my classes or within my community. During my junior year of high school I was involved in the “B.E.E. Club” which is a mentorship for young ladies that help support freshman female students to achieve their goals. I was also actively involved in the “Fashion and Design Club” which is to advocate personal development through leadership, social etiquette, and corporate skill to build confidence, and poise.
Day in and day out we hear about high school and college students wanting to pursue a sorority and/or a fraternity based on the stereotypes these organizations uphold, well I chose to differ. I told myself if I ever decided to become a member of a sorority it would be based solely on their ethical standards, history, and values they are founded upon. Alpha Kappa Alpha, Incorporated consists of ladies of distinction and exemplary character who excel in scholarship, leadership, and service, which are qualities I have chosen to uphold. From my perspective, I encourage myself to maintain a respectable appearance and reputation which doing so inspires me to embrace my self-concept; which helps me confidently excel academically and professionally as a “lady of distinction” and “exemplary character.” Most importantly, I continuously remain involved in community service, being involved allows me the opportunity to learn and understand the lives and circumstances of others by opening my mind, heart, and soul. Overall these qualities strengthen my passion to be a member of the prestigious Alp...

Next year, as I embark my first year at university, I hope to fully integrate myself into the community by getting involved in the Students' Union, joining the cheer team, volunteering where I can and making many new friends along the way. At university, I hope to maintain a high grade point average, granted that my education is extremely important to me and that I am extremely ambitious about achieving my goals. Therefore, I will commit lots of my time to my studies in hopes of being a successful student. Nevertheless, I am still looking forward to being a part of the community by devoting my extra time to helping those around me. In classes, I intend on being an active learner, a respectful student, and a helpful classmate; someone who is always willing to lend a hand to others. Through engaging in my community, I hope to bring joy to others around me by spending my time supporting local events, volunteering for fundraisers, and helping plan and organize campus activities.
When my first grade teacher asked me what I wanted to be in the future I told her, “I want to be a doctor.” My answer stayed exactly the same when my eleventh grade English teacher asked the question. Ever since I was little science has always captured my interest. I was fascinated by the way our body worked and how everything had an explanation behind it.
I hope to leave NC State as a young adult who is ready and prepared to enter society with a determined mindset and hard work ethic. I believe that I will be perfectly capable of achieving my goals and and aspirations as an NC graduate, and will graduate with the experience to take on challenges that may await me in a future career. Although I am still unsure of my desired field of study, I am confident that I will be able to discover a career path I will enjoy through the Exploratory Studies college. I am excited to enroll as an undergraduate student at NC State, and look forward to the opportunities ahead of me in the college of Exploratory
If I am chosen as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. I will work hard to uphold the reputation and exceed the standards that those before me have set. I believe becoming a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. means joining a group of highly educated women that together I believe are capable of facilitating the type of change that is imperative in today’s society. It is my hope that I will be accepted as a member and be afforded the opportunity to take part in that change. I look forward to hearing from you regarding my request to join your
My hopes for attending Rutgers University is to enhance my passion to learn and challenge myself, both personally and academically. In my past two years at the College of Charleston, I found myself wanting a more rigorous academic curriculum. Rutgers has so much to offer, and I am confident I will be able to achieve my my career and personal goals if I am accepted.
College is the biggest obstacle in any individual's life when trying to pursue a career they have decided on. Attending Rutgers University would help me pursue my dream of working in the Criminal Justice field as a Patrol Officer. There are many reasons a Rutgers education will help me achieve my career goals. The vast amount of resource, the diverse social atmosphere with plenty of extracurricular activities, and the ability to stay in New Jersey all contribute to how a Rutgers education would be beneficial for me.
Meanwhile, I would transfer to attend the University of Texas at Arlington. Once I start the school year, I am going to surround myself with young people, who are motivated, caring and determined, too successful in their academics as well as their personal lives. I want to strengthen my communication skills, study harder, and improve my time management skills. And maintain myself there to obtain my Bachelor Science Degree and can go deeper and higher level status in my career field. I choose to apply to this Honors Program, because I like to be challenged and I work hard for what I want to
The main reason that people join a fraternity is for brotherhood. A special bond is formed between fraternity brothers. They will be there and will do almost anything for each other. They are friends for life. Most fraternities are like this but there are exceptions, such as bad chapters at a school that don't have good ideals and don't concentrate on school and brotherhood.
I’m a student at Tompkins Cortland Community College this is my first semester as a college student. I plan to go to college for four years and only be at TC3 for this one semester, then transfer to a four year school. College has grown around the world more than ever and more people are attending college more than ever. I have chosen to go to college because of the rewards after graduation. Yes it is another four years of school but by getting more education and an extended degree gives me more opportunities for better jobs and more money. The career I have chosen to study is business administration. I am hoping that it takes me to a great job managing a company or possibly being an accountant.
A mission statement is a very important piece to a college or university. It can provide faculty, administrators, and students the overall goals of a college or university. A mission statement or simply a mission, is a public declaration that schools or educational organizations use to describe their founding purpose and major organizational commitments (Hidden Curriculum, 2014). A mission statement may also describe its broad academic and operational assurances, as well its commitment to students and the community (Hidden Curriculum, 2014). It is important for colleges and universities to acquire a successful mission statement but also carry out their mission statement on
From what I’ve heard around campus people love this program, and it seems like the type of program that I would love to be involved in. Currently to get into the school of business I need to have a gpa of 2.75 at the end of the year. I also will need to have a minimum of 30 credit hours as well. As of right now all of my classes are going really well, I have high grades in all of them so things are looking good for the future. . I’m looking forward to next semester, I have a bunch of classes that I’m very excited for. For the next four years I hope that I can find a minor that I would love to be involved in. I hope that along the way that I can meet and get many new friends, within my major. And in the future get a job with a top organization in sports, that would be my dream
