Run Lola Run is a German film created in 1999. The film is set in Germany, or more specifically Berlin and follows Lola, and her difficulty in collecting up 100,000 marks to save her boyfriend from Ronnie (Manni’s boss). The film reruns the same story three times, each course highly influenced by a small change of time. Each ‘run’, affects almost everything, including the characters that appear

Lola, played by Franka Potente, receives a phone call from boyfriend Manni (Moritz Bliebtreu). Manni leaves a large sum of money containing one hundred thousand marks on a train.

The movie replays the same story three times, changing a little bit each time.

The film was stunning; it is a very well constructed film. The constant changes in camera views are one of the most stunning aspects of the film. It is a very fast paced film and the effective, robot-like soundtrack suits the film immensely. Close ups of this film were very effective, showing the tiniest bit of details, even hands of clocks in the movie ticking closer to midday, or as Lola and Manni see it, Lola’s crucial deadline. The way the running scenes were shot showed much more pace, using inanimate objects behind to create the illusion of pure speed. …show more content…
