Christmas was 24 hours away, and there was a huge problem. Santa’s sleigh is guided by one special guy we all know and love- Rudolph. You know the story about everyone’s favorite reindeer: a funny looking reindeer gets made fun of by all of the other reindeer for his glowing nose, in which leads to his significant job of guiding the magical sleigh through the dark to deliver gift to all of the children. However, something was wrong with Rudolph’s unique colored nose: it wouldn’t glow. Rudolph had been feeling very isolated lately, everyone was in such a rush to get ready for Christmas he wasn’t feeling any Christmas spirit. Everyone was too occupied to notice ,but when they did it wasn’t good. “Rudolph! Your nose! What happened?” an elf named …show more content…
Muffins asked. Rudolph explained to Muffins how he just woke up and it wasn’t glowing, disappointed as if it were his fault. Rudolph didn’t have to tell Muffins how he wasn’t in the Christmas spirit, he could tell by the way Rudolph was acting. Muffins wasted no time alerting the North Pole of the terrible incident.
“What on earth are we going to do Mrs.Claus?” Rudolph questioned. “Well I’m afraid there isn’t very much we can do, sweetie.” She replies, sounding troubled. Surely there was something they could do to fix whatever happened to poor Rudolph’s nose. The North Pole was pure chaos, to put it bluntly. Everyone was panicking, there was now only a few hours until Santa would have to leave in order to deliver all of the presents and Rudolph’s nose remained dull. Muffins was walking back to the workshop, still pondering about Rudolph’s strange behavior when he thought of an idea. Everyone and everything in the North Pole was powered by the most important part of Christmas: Christmas spirit. Piecing the pieces together, Muffins makes a …show more content…
plan. Muffins informed everyone in the North Pole of his plan, luckily everyone obligated.
Rudolph was soon surrounded by everyone in the North Pole, standing in the middle of a large circle, he tilted his head. “What is going on?” Rudolph asks, clearly confused. They don’t reply, instead they start to sing. “Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, had a very shiny nose.” At first Rudolph was bewildered at first, but soon realized what was going on. His nose abruptly got slightly warm and began to glow a bit, shimmering lightly. “...won’t you guide my sleigh tonight!” everyone continued to sing, cheerfully. The louder they were singing the brighter Rudolph’s nose got. By the end of the song, Rudolph’s nose was blazing intensely at its full potential. All of the North Pole jumped up and exclaimed with joy, “Christmas is saved!” Rudolph smiled widely and thanked everyone, Muffins especially. “How wonderful!” Santa boomed. There was now only a short amount of time until
Christmas. Once the sleigh was loaded, and the reindeer were fed,and the cookies were set out, it was finally time for the most important trip of the year. “On Dasher, on Dancer, On Prancer, on Vixen, on Comet, on Cupid, on Donner, on Blitzen.. and Rudolph!” Santa belted out. Thanks to Muffin, and the power of Christmas spirit, Christmas was saved and all the children got their gifts!
As the reindeer got hooked up to the sleigh the helpful elves shook the bells on the reins, as they shook them everyone made a large uproar of joyful cheers and laughter. The main boy realizes that he is unable to hear the wonderful sounds made by the bells. As the bells are shaken more and more one particular silver bell falls from the harness and rolls right to the boy, he picks it up and shakes it and hears nothing, he repeats to himself “i believe, i believe.” he shakes it once more and finally hears it’s sweet sound. Hearing the bell and seeing Santa Claus, finally diminished his doubts about the magic of the Polar Express, Christmas, and Santa. Just before heading home the boy realizes he had lost the bell given to him by Santa. On Christmas morning his sister found one small box under the tree with the silver bell inside with a note from Santa, reassuring to the boy that his journey was real and in fact not a dream, and reminding him that seeing is believing. Even as an adult the boy could still hear the bells beautiful
Meta: Getting geared up for Christmas and giving players something special to unwrap, Cozy Games has a winter treat in store. Santa in Town has arrived and it sprinkling some serious Christmas cheer!
1) with the relatively modest goal of reaching 200,000 video views. Featuring a Santa wearing a WestJet-blue suit, travellers on 3 select flights from Calgary, Hamilton and Toronto were asked, via a real-time digital command centre at the boarding gates, what they wanted for Christmas. After the flights had boarded, employees communicated these wishlists to a team of their peers in the destination cities, who immediately bought gifts for every passenger. The gifts were wrapped and delivered to the landing gates, ready to surprise each disembarking passenger with a personalized
The eight-year-old version of myself (V 8.0) could not tolerate the Nietzsche-esque “god is dead” prognosis. I stubbornly wanted to believe Santa and his workforce of elves could render moral justice and realize the dreams of children all across the world. Much to my chagrin, the cruel honesty of my peers and adults convinced me that the existence of Santa was highly unlikely.
In this book, the main character, the Grinch hates Christmas, so he decides to steal all the presents in the town of Whoville. On Christmas morning when they wake up with no presents, they are not bothered at all. They start singing, which makes the Grinch realize that they do not need presents to have a good Christmas. “'Maybe Christmas,’ he thought, ‘doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas...perhaps...means a little bit more!’”
Suddenly, Vince jolts upward and hits a mysterious woman in the face. Mrs. Claus, startled by his abrupt awaking, welcomes him. Vince is not the least bit jolly as he realizes he is in a place of Christmas spirit. Convinced by Mrs. Claus' tempting promises, he agrees to try to reveal Christmas to himself and try to enjoy this amazing time of year. Together, Vince and Mrs. Claus stroll through the streets watching families sing holiday tunes, enjoy extravagant feasts, and open gifts o...
The Grinch’s family never celebrated Christmas. Every Christmas he was in his room wondering what santa brought other children for Christmas. His family didn’t believe that Christmas should be celebrated just for presents. The Grinch never saw a present with his name on it. Years after years he thought of a plan. A plan to destroy Christmas once and for all. “IF I can’t have presents, NO one can!” His young childhood faded, each Christmas the same old day. He thought of Christmas as just a time to sit in his room and make a plan each year. The Grinch didn’t want to ruin Christmas. The Grinch would’ve never thought of this if his family was like every other family in the world. The Grinch sat watching snowflakes fall, rain drops dropping, wind blowing, and even tree’s falling. The Grinch sat and thought each and every night.
“All I was doing was taking a nap, and he does this to me,” I thought to myself. “Why do you do this to me.” All I was doing was napping and the Grinch calls me over. I didn’t come because I was sleeping,so he comes over and drags me around the corner. Well don't like the Grinch because he always interrupts my naps and he’s pretty mean to me sometimes. I was going to run away when I saw what he was going to do to me, but then he took me and told me something. “Max you're a dog, so how am I going to make you a reindeer?” Then he took some antlers on the wall and tied them up on my head.
There is something undeniably special about Christmas. From the abundance of peppermint to the Island of Lost Toys, this season can put a skip in the step of even the nastiest Scrooge. Who could oppose setting up lights of red and green, or picking out the perfect tree, pruned and green? In the meantime, creamy eggnog, sprinkled with flakes of graham cracker and nutmeg returns for a standing ovation after Thanksgiving. I remember writing letters addressed to the North Pole, made credible with backwards “-E”s. The foul taste of glue would linger on my tongue as I rushed into the icy wonderland with glee to personally hand the mailman my message, ensuring safe delivery. Watching endless Christmas specials, constantly vacuuming pine needles off the rug, and writing wish lists are only some of the activities that fill these days of merry festivities. The greatest memories consist of the jovial music, the anticipated snowfall, and the benevolent spirits.
“Blitzen. I was so pissed! I told all the other reindeer but none were surprised. They knew! They were helping him! When they invited me to play reindeer games, he was fucking my girlfriend! I wanted them to pay, all of them!” Rudolph was enraged struggling to get out of his handcuffs but to no avail. The room was locked; even if he had broken out of the cuffs he wouldn’t be
Meeting the Ghost of Christmas Past begins the first stage of Scrooge’s transformation: regretting his actions. When Scrooge is shown his younger self alone in his classroom on Christmas, he regrets chasing a Christmas caroler away from his door. The Spirit skips ahead a few years to show him a happier time. His sweet little sister Fan arrives to take him home, and this is his first Christmas in a long time that is spent with family. Unfortunately, Scrooge doesn’t see it that way; seeing this scene makes him “uneasy in his mind” as he thinks about the way he treats his nephew Fred. Instead of treating him like his only family member, Scrooge denies invitations to Christmas dinner every year and is rude whenever Fred speaks to him. He doesn’t have time to dwell on this for long, however; Scrooge has many other important things to think...
Someone had flipped the calendar; it read December 1962 - Advent Season, my favorite time of the year. In America they called it Christmas season. I noticed the entire neighborhood, including my in-laws, busied themselves with putting strings of electrical lights on their houses and front yards trees. Some had lit up statues of a jolly Santa Claus, reindeer, or a snowman placed under trees or by the front door. After dark, the illuminated houses and yards gave a feeling of a supernal place. We bundled up and took Patrizia through this sea of lights and her big brown eyes glistened in wondrous delight. During our walks, I learned that Santa Claus came in a sleigh, loaded with gifts for all children, pulled by eight reindeer, and Rudolf,
In the two next stanzas, the author begins to describe Santa’s “jelly belly.” This jelly belly of Santas is what he is most known for, and he makes the reader think of Santa’s big belly. He then starts to feature different characters, such as Mrs. Claus. The reason for doing so is because not only Santa dies in the child’s imagination, so does many other characters as well. He then talks about the elves, and Rudolph’s nose. He says “Rudolph’s nose blinks like a sad ambulance / light” (21-22). Rudolph’s nose is used here to represent an ambulance, which is the opposite of what Rudolph’s nose is typically used
Taking a fresh piece of paper from the stack at the teacher's table, he proceeds to write his letter to the magical man called Santa to request what he wanted for Christmas. He was sure he was going to get his present; he's been good all year long. He finished his food, said his pleases and thank yous and always respected the elderly. So he was bound to be on the nice list!
I sat up wanting to check again. I left the comfort of my warm, soft bed and headed down stairs toward the Christmas Tree. Although I was inside I could still feel the cold of December nipping at my nose. The tree was the very definition of pulchritude; of course nothing was under the deceiving tree. What was I expecting?
