Life of Ronald Reagan

Do you know that one of our presidents was once an actor? The famous actor/leader was Ronald Reagan. From the time he was small throughout the rest of his life, Reagan was a wonderful role model. This led to him being one of our most loved presidents.
Childhood
Ronald Reagan was born on February 6, 1911 and was raised in Tampico, IL. He attended the school Dixon High School. He has three other family members in his family by the names of Nelle Wilson Reagan who is his loving, caring mother, John Neil Reagan who takes the title of his younger brother, and John Edward Reagan whom is his loving father.

Early Adulthood
Reagan married Jane Wyman in 1940 and had two children by the names of Michael and Maureen Reagan. Michael was adopted in the year 1945 and Maureen was born in the year 1941. In 1947 Jane and Ronald had a stillborn daughter Christine Reagan. Jane and Ronald had a rough relationship that ended in a divorce in 1949.
Reagan got re-married in a short three years to Nancy Davis 1951 and they had to children Ron Reagan and Patti Reagan. Ron was born in 1958 and Patti was born in 1952. Rona and Patti both are still alive today. Patti is 63 while Ron is 57. Ronald and Nancy were married until death. When Reagan married Nancy they moved to California. When Reagan moved to California he was elected governor in the year of 1966 and was then re-elected in 1967. …show more content…

Then a few short years later he became president. “Not only did he cut rates, but the Tax Reform Act of 1986 Simplified the income tax code by eliminated many tax shelters reducing the number of deductions and tax brackets.” “Reagan’s dream of tax returns fitting on a postcard has been nullified as Congress has regressed and construed to make the tax code more complex, resuscitating a new push for reform.” Reagan ran the country just like Roosevelt. When he was first sworn in he was at the age 64 and when he was sworn in the second time he was at the age 68.
There was an attempt assassination when Reagan was giving a speech. When shots were fired a bodyguard that was near Reagan took a bullet for him. Sadly when the bodyguard fell another bullet hit Reagan in the rib/lungs. After he was hit he coughed up blood and rushed to the local hospital. The assassination’s name is John Hindley. John was sent to a special hospital. When he left the school John went straight to jail.
