Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Before I introduce myself, I would like to thank you all for being here today to celebrate the wonderful life of Lady Montague, especially those who have traveled/flown from out-of-state. The number of you who took the time to gather here is a testament to how important Lady Montague was in all aspects of our lives. I’d like to offer my heartfelt condolences to her husband, Lord Montague, and her precious child Romeo Montague, including her nephew Benvolio. As I am standing here today, I have the privilege to write this eulogy in honor of our beloved Lady Montague, who passed away on a sorrowful Wednesday. (Lines 109-110)” We all knew the quarrel made Mrs. Montague agitated about her son but clearly indicates her worries as a first-time mother. As a motherly figure, she became anxious about whether Romeo was fatally injured or even worse, perished. She indicated many qualities to her character, such as the clear concern for Romeo. Lady Montague states clearly her demand that Romeo shall not step foot near the enemy, “Thou shalt not stir one foot to seek a foe. (Line 73)” As she is dealing with what life throws at her, she is taking precautions step-by-step. She doesn’t want Romeo hurt, to experience pain and sorrow. To conclude the eulogy, I would like to invite all of you to keep Lady Montague’s name alive in your hearts. The presence she gave was heart-warming and gentle. We were all touched by her presence and are better because she will always be with us. I would like to thank her for being such an encouraging role model to her one and only son, Romeo, a wonderful and devoted wife to her husband, Lord Montague, as well as a joyful aunt to
