Romeo and Juliet, a tale of young-ish love. It was a good movie and story, it was a dramatic love movie, when Romeo saw Juliet at the masquerade, he instantly fell in love with her. The movie was made in 1968 by BHE Films, and was directed by Franco Zeffirelli. The play was in Verona, Italy. The main characters where Romeo and Juliet, the story is about two kingdoms that share the same hatred for each other for reasons that are unexplained in the story and play. Within the story, Romeo goes to a masquerade with his men, while at the masquerade, Romeo sees Juliet and falls what he believes is love. In my opinion, John McEnery, he played Mercutio in the movie. McEnery did a very good job as Mercutio, the actor who did not do the best was Leonard Whiting as Romeo, the acting was not the best, it felt more like a comedy while watching him play his part, …show more content…

The movie made the play a lot easier to imagine the script instead of picturing it myself, what I did not like was the fight scenes, it was like WWE, really bad acting and fighting, it was not what I had in mind, especially the fight scene with Tybalt and Romeo, usually if you are a prince, you are usually taught how to fight with swords, but no one bothered to teach Romeo apparently. I learned to not fall in love with some random stranger and to not start fights that I know will end badly. I hope other people learned other morals and lessons that are better than my own, Romeo and Juliet had many lessons and morals hidden in the movie that many of us most likely did not see. I think people who are into romance, plays, and theater students will enjoy the movie. I would not recommend it to people who like happy endings, not a fan of romance, and comedy lovers, this movie is PG, I do not fully agree with the rating, there was some nudity, I think it should have been more of PG-13 instead of PG, you know, for the younger kids. The movie was pretty good. :) :) :) :) out of :) :) :) :)
