Rome. The very symbol of power. Strength. And honor. But. The great civilization, the superpower we once were is no more. Our empire wallows in problems, affecting hundreds, thousands, millions. To it, a single eye refuses to turn.
The problem begins without government. After the Antonine dynasty also known as the Five Good Emperors, the rulers that took over do not even deserve to be called emperors. They are infamous for spending money on lavish parties where guests drank and ate until they became sick. And this my friends is why Roman society lacks financial support. We do not have the money to support our people, our soldiers, our country! This is why we bask in debt.
We have never created an effective system to determine how new emperors

The Germans and the Huns traumatize us yet society ignores the Germans for one as they replace the vast amount of divided groups with less divided, stronger groups. They prove to be formidable as they require constant imperial supervision. The Huns add to the Germans causing explosions of downfall around Rome. The Huns mince our armies and prevent proper replacement by annexing the key areas of its base. This means our territories were left vulnerable and values to be destroyed as citizens. The people of Rome, became part of the enemy to protect their assets including their land as the elites were landowners. The value of loyalty to the empire is thrown away, just to experience the pleasures of life. To protect the empire, we offer money to foreign soldiers from other countries to work to put down the Germanic forces. However, with this, foreign soldiers don't experience the same kind of loyalty a Roman citizen does to the empire. And this proves to be useless when we focus more on demonstrating our strength instead of protecting the nation. Soldiers were pulled back from the Rhine-Danube frontier where we held Barbarians of Germany back to fight the Civil War in Italy leaving the Roman border open to attack which the opposing forces took advantage of, pillaging through our …show more content…
the government encourages farming got sustaining the food requirements of the nation. Farmers will be given the incentives for reducing debt if they are able to produce and achieve targets (a certain amount of food). There will be a reduction of debt for 40% so in other words 3 years worth of interest rate and debt will be paid off or reduced by this percentage. The workmen are also rewarded as well if they work under a farmer for 2 years and they are able to get a proper amount of workmen that are paid regular pay. The amount of workmen is equal to all farmers and so the regulated amount I think is acceptable is about 20-50. Taxes will also be levied heavily on entertainment and other luxury items to discourage wasteful spending and more value on the essential items. However, if they do spend money on these items, the money will be circulated back into the system. In addition, the value of wheat or basic foods are made the same throughout the nation so that farmers will make the same amount of money as the latifundia if they sell the same amount of crops. Each household is also rationed to certain quantities allowed depending on the number of people living in a household.
However, with inflation solved how is the problem of unemployment going to be fixed? The answer is simply by granting citizens land to establish colonies in the empire. This not only will provide a home but a way for them to work and support the economy. If they wanted to have workmen, they
The Italian Centre Shop shows many attributes as for how they are able to build on their strengths. This in the end helps a company to expand and grow further to improve their internal performance and as well by gaining more consumers (Kerin, et al., 2015). Firstly, the company’s main strength relies on the location of the different branches, being placed strategically so it is easier to bring in more consumers as well as being easily accessible for people around those areas. Two of the three locations in Edmonton are situated beside shopping centers, Southgate mall and West Edmonton mall, which in the West end is the most popular attraction of the city. The third branch is located in North Edmonton which is known for the heart of “Little Italy”(Spinelli, 2016). Secondly, the Italian Centre Shop sells a variety of merchandise and different cuisine from all around the world, the main place being Italy and others which include: Spain, Romania, Portugal, Ukraine and Poland (Spinelli, 2016). This helps to expand the company’s target market while still keeping
First off, the foreign invasions were a primary reason of Rome’s fall because they invaded and pillaged many places in the roman empire and caused some emperors deaths. One of the tribes that had invaded much of rome was the Huns. In document C it states that they were absolutely wild and very destructive. They are completely ignorant of right and wrong and are fired with an overwhelming desire to seize the property of others so we can assume they had done quite a lot of damage to the areas that they had invaded. Their invasions took place in the north east part of the roman Empire during the 370 CE to the 451 CE.

The Roman Republic had an upstanding infrastructure, a stable social system, and a balanced constitution that solidified Rome’s greatness. Regardless of its achievements, however, the Roman Republic owes much of its success to classical Greek cultures. These cultures, in conjunction with the fundamental values of Roman society, certified Rome as one of the most significant powers the world has ever seen.
Whether it is war, the church, or influential contact Rome has made a huge impact on western civilization. From its strong followers trying to recreate the Republic, to lasting impressions imposed on its conquered lands, Rome has sent its culture and heritage throughout the entire globe. The mighty Roman Empire is and forever will be the rock of hope, advancement, and pure culture that holds this world together.
What makes a country or empire so powerful? Is it a leader, the military, or even the people? These all do. They make a certain connection due to the success of an empire. You can they’re the “Three Musketeers” of one. The old Roman Empire and the United States have that connection. Both were in great power, had prosperity, and were strong in their own unique ways. But what if the United States falls dramatically—just like the Roman Empire did in 476 AD? What would we do? This fall would not be based on mythical angry gods, but our decisions in life today. The political, military, economic, and social judgments we make present day—believe it or not—are based on our future consequences.
The Roman government had many debts to pay. They also had to find a way to fund for the upkeep and development of its roads and army. The government decided to excessively tax the people, who viewed this as unjust. Much of Rome’s wealth came from the wealthy places it conquered, but they eventually reached a point where there were no longer any wealthy rivals to conquer. The Roman Empire never actually established an efficient currency system, and eventually, due to inflation, money became worthless. The empire that was once known for its excessively elaborate architecture and system of roads began to fade away because of its loss of wealth. Also, their trading stopped because of the dangers involved in traveling. This caused small farmers to eventually completely die out, or hide behi...
The city of Philadelphia is much more than just a city. It is a complex web of
...ck of money and the inability to pay off officials. Without money, an empire is unable to prosper. The rich stop paying taxes and the burden is placed upon the poor. Poor taxpayers become angered, and eventually spark revolts. Anger and inhumane acts contribute to the loss of ethics and valued traditions. The citizens of an empire begin to ignore the difference in good and bad. This will begin to cause chaos and corruption in an empire, resulting in a quick decline. Sometimes, like that mentioned in the Roman Empire, the Emperor is unable to control the amount of corruption and chaos occurring. Without an effective emperor to control such issues throughout an empire, the empire will begin to gradually weaken. The rise and fall of great empires result from many complex reasons such as moral decline and escapists, but the factors mentioned above are often inevitable.
The lack of war allowed the Roman Republic to stagnate and become self-indulgent. By the end of the Punic Wars, which combined these elements, Rome was sure to fail. Without a common thread uniting its society, the Roman Republic unraveled because it had nothing left holding it together. One of the main reasons of the collapse of the Roman Empire was the over expenditure on the military to constantly fund wars abroad. In order for the Romans to invade and conquer other provinces they had to spend heavily on their legions. The Roman armies and supply lines became over-stretched resulting in thousands of soldiers being recruited and deployed from Rome into other territories as invaders or defenders. They also depended on soldiers to defend the borders of the lands they had conquered from barbarian attacks which resulted in the increased manufacturing of weapons and more money being spent on soldiers. High military spending left the Romans with very limited resources for other essential government projects such as the building of more public houses and the development of roads and aqueducts as well as leading to inflation. The over-expenditure on the military led th...
