It is a reminder of how things were in the old days, a suggestion of how things are, and a view of where society is leading to. Music is the direct reflection of the picture of art, music, and literature. Music can be a way to deliver messages, being poetic, a fine art, or it can just be for entertainment. No matter what it is used for, music is the perfect art there is and there are various types of music; such as classical and romantic. This paper will discuss how classical music and romantic music had a turning point in humanity’s social or cultural development, and how they have

an impact on the culture or society in the 21st century.
Classical music has been played by the most famous musicians like, Beethoven, Mozart, and many more.

Classical music is known as light and smooth, also it is heavily emphasized on homophonic melodies, meaning that there is a single melody that every instrument plays. Thus, the significant turning point of classical music in humanity’s social and cultural development is that this type of music first heard became very popular in the 18th century. Classical music created energy, rhythm, and harmonic symphony and from these people advanced more and more and made these elements much better. This turning point not just improved classical music, but other music that evolved from classical music. Also, Classical music is known as one of the first music ever in the nation. When people listen to classical music they can identify the soft rhythm and how peaceful it sounds. It can be shown that just a certain type of music can give so many elements defining music and educational resources as well; which make it a significant turning point in the cultural or social development. People love music that soothes their heart and mind, and that could get their mind off of all the negativity around

Furthermore, Romantic music was another significant turning point in humanity’s social or cultural development because it was starting to express emotion and the notes on the music became a bit louder and rough. For example, the listener would be able to tell that the piece is angry one moment and the next is peaceful and joyous. This shows that romantic music made many improvements from classical music such as it put the musician and listener into various emotions. Romantic music is a significant turning point in social development because it made advancements from classical music. For example, romantic music used the elements of rhythm and other melodies in different ways and at times it even changed the rhythm. Romantic music evolved from classical music so it will be different from it.
Moreover, Classical Music has one of the greatest impacts on society and culture in the 21st century because even today people still love listening to classical music. Just imagine a world without classical music. All the classical plays would be so dull without classical music; this music gives life to these plays. Or in certain films there would be a different type of music besides classical music it would not sound right. Classical music is a type of music where if it’s a place for classical music than no other music can take its place. This shows that even today people still use classical music in elite places such as weddings and parties because in some places classical music is defined as elite.
Finally, Romantic music has impacted the society and cultural of the 21st century by dramatic and full of emotions work. For example, directors in film use dramatic music for a particular scene and dramatic music came from romantic music. Dramatic music has a sound of loud and soft notes just as romantic music; today when people go for a musical play or even a play, the romantic music will be heard in any form. Not just romantic music just has dramatic sounds, but also romantic music expresses the composer’s personal thoughts as well. In the 21st century people can tell what thoughts the composer had while listening to the music.
