I was like a tadpole entering a big pond. I could already tell becoming a freshman meant I got more privileges, freedom, and better options in classes. While this is all true, now that I am a senior I see things from a different view. Each year of high school, I experienced different situations by meeting new people every year. First, the day of high school, I don't think I could forget this day ever. I remember I couldn't even sleep that night I was already awake before my alarm clock even went
In short, I feel junior year provided a foundation for the more mature and adult chapters of my life, and without the numerous obstacles of junior year, I would never have gained the key to a successful future.
Freshman Year vs Senior Year When I think about change it really scares me, mostly because I hate change. But when I think about how much I have changed from my freshman year to my senior year, I’m satisfied with the changes that have happened because they have made me who I am today. From freshman me to my senior me, I have become more involved, more independent, and more friendly, but my standards still have yet to change.
I am the definition of an adrenaline junky. The first to join the queue for every theme park’s scariest ride, theme parks are the ideal holiday destination for me!
This is my first semester in college and it its completely different than high school in many ways in my opinion. I think that college is going to be a challenge, so I hope i 'm prepared for what 's about to come. The difference between highschool and college is vast. The main ones I have experienced are greater expenses, independence, and overall seriousness of the education.
We’re both looking at the top of the roller coaster track begging and pleading that we be taken off. “I don’t want to ride, somebody get me off!” My life had flashed before my eyes as well as my best friends. We began to tell each other that we loved one another. Before we knew it we were at the top of the roller coaster looking down at all of the people who were walking around still living and breathing enjoying funnel cakes, turkey legs and ice cream. As for us at the top of the ride were having panic attacks and screaming as loud as we could but no one seemed to hear us. We were getting ready to have the ride of our lives.
I didn’t know what to expect of high school as I sauntered in the doors as an incoming high school freshman. In my first couple of weeks of school, I learned that it was basically like middle school, just a little stricter with different teachers and a different locker. I asked myself “how bad could it be?” Turns out,
As soon as you get to the top of that flight of stairs you're out in the open and you will be right in line for loading onto the coaster. As the roller coaster starts and when you're going up you start to get very excited. As soon as you hit the peak of the coaster. As you start to feel the G force was so powerful. As you speed down the roller coaster you Can see the you will go into a dark hole into the water. As soon as you FREE FALL down the coaster you instantly feel WEIGHTLESS. As the thrill of going into a dark hole that leads somewhere in the river. Once you're about to enter the dark hole you get your picture taken. Then you are remaining at a CONSTANT SPEED as soon as you enter the dark tunnel you notice the HIGH KINETIC ENERGY and it instantly turns blue as you look around throughout the glass you see all sorts of wildlife and awesome species of fish. As soon as you exit the underwater tunnel you feel the AIR RESISTANCE as you go up to the top of the mountain. Once you reach the top of the mountain you will have this amazing sight of everything around
Sophomore year was an easy going year compared to my other years before and after. Sophomore year was a year where I thought of my dreams and future. Even though I haven’t participated in any school clubs, I still felt fulfilled. Sophomore year was a year filled with new challenges.
As young girl with big dreams I imagined my senior year of high school to be one of the best years of my life. I imagined going to homecoming with all of my friends, being the captain of the varsity soccer and cheerleading teams, going to Friday night football games, going to Prom with my perfect date, and going on a senior trip with all of my best friends. I never imagined my senior year to be the way that it is. I am the new kid.
People would tell me “Senior year is amazing, you get to do all these things, and that it is completely different than any other year that you have been in at Amory High School.” You know when your a freshman and a sophmore you may think that is how it's gonna go you think that you will be invisible, but when in reality its different. I would be lying if I said that Senior year hasn't been the best year out of my four years here. It's the same though the only difference is that you have different teachers and every once in a while a new kid comes just trying to make it through just like you. I will miss high school, but this year has taught me so much and has made me realize that I am ready for college and that I am wanting to venture out into the big world.
High school has been a very interesting experience for me. It has definitely had its highs and lows and many confusing experiences in between. Overall, I feel like I have been equipped for not only college, but also life as a whole. High school has taught me many things, both academically and emotionally. It has revealed and exposed my true colors, both good and bad, and as a result, has built many aspects of my character. My experiences at Alameda High school and Alameda Community Learning Center have shaped me into the person that I am today.
In a park near you very soon...there is a roller coaster that has never been seen before. The Looper...The Looper is one of the fastest rollercoasters in all of HersheyPark. When you are riding The Looper you will feel many different feelings you will feel happy, excited, suspended and sad because the ride is going to end. As you are waiting in the line you will be passing a sign that read “Enter if you dare”. You look to see how much of a line is in front of you, and you see about 20-30 people. WHen you are waiting in line you decide to do a little research on the ride and you see that the ride lasts for 1 minute and 30 seconds. You scroll down the page to see how much track is put into this ride and there is a total of 100 meters of track on this ride.
Many thoughts were running my head as I headed to Great America for the first time. “What am I going to ride? Why do I want to ride?” When I arrived, I picked a ride. It was called the Demon, and forgot one crucial detail: I had an extreme fear of roller coasters. Though, I wouldn’t call it a phobia, it was rational. I waited a good hour until I got in the front of the line. It was torture waiting in the hot summer sun. I realized it while I was in the front of the line, so it was too late to back out, they would call me a chicken head. But who would expect an 11 year old, 4’11 boy to love roller coasters?
I followed what everyone else did and that ultimately led me to feel extremely nauseous. When I am on a roller coaster, I experience moments of fear and nausea as I am falling. When you proceed to speed up the tracks, there is a feeling of thrill and accomplishment. Life is brimming with moments where I feel sick and broken down, but then life takes a turn, for the better or for the worse, and you are once again on top and in control of everything you had before.
An important marker of the teenage world is highschool. In highschool the school work is increased as well as responsibilities elsewhere. It can become incredibly overwhelming, especially now with the pressure of college around the corner. Each year of highschool comes with new challenges. Freshman year is one of the most notable because it is the first year in a new place.
