Like many folks, most of us who still live in our own countries that we were born and raised in, are, for the most part- very proud and boastful of the homeland. Whatever country you live in, You normally wave the flag and you wave it with pride, don’t you? Well, this journey and calendar will be the next big announcement – So, now start waving your own flag, announce your show, live out your final act. This is “roll the cameras” time! It’s your opening Stage! Wave! Display your own flag! It’s show time! Show up. As I recall growing up, I describe my father as one of those tough guys who would never admit to pain, losing, giving up or having disadvantages. None of those kind of things did he ever want to talk about or show. Early in my childhood years, I recall an incident which I will share with you with the hopes of adding value and support to my conviction of “Show up for the Showdown” mentality. Boy was I scared to admit to him the reason for my tears and weakness. So, as you would guess, my father asked- “Why are you crying, son?” I thought for what seemed eternity and said….. “Dad, normally I never cry when I get into a fight but this time dad, there were three of them.” I stopped and waited for his response. He quickly responded to me and said, “Do not lie son, I know for a fact that you are telling a lie”. “Dad, I am not lying!” I replied. He says: “Son, You know why I know you are lying? Because of all the kids in school that I have seen, I cannot count in my hands any three kids, that even if they all got together and tried to take you down on the playground, they simply don’t have the talent, the speed, the toughness and the tenacity like you do.
