Women taking care of men and being nice is really important in Ancient Greece. It seems like the women have to be nice in order to have a good image in Ancient Greece. The Odyssey represents women following what is expected from them. Nausicaa is one of the best princes in The Odyssey . If she was not nice or didn't take good care of Odysseus then she would be hated in Ancient Greece society. In Ancient Greece women are expected to be nice and caring to men. Nausica being the best, she was really nice to Odysseus when he reached the island of scheria. Odysseus got on the island scheria without any clothes or food. He has nothing to cover up his body and is really dirty. When he saw some girls, he went and begged them for cloths. Nausicaa is one of them and she is trying to make to make Odysseus feel better by saying “You've reached our city and our land, you will never lack for cloths or any other gifts”(Bk6,Pg 178).
