Rodeo Weekend

It was rodeo weekend and that was just where my family, Bree, and myself were going. It was late in the afternoon so the wind was beginning to pick up. Because it was chilly outside, I brought a blanket. The indian horse races had just begun when we got there so the crowd was being really loud. My brother ran up the 3 flights of stairs there were to get to our seats. The rest of us reached the top, where I found my brother sitting on the floor gasping for air. we got to our seats, F3, F4, F5, F6, F7. We settled in, to start watching the races. I saw bright street lights shining above the rodeo grounds. We could see the little bugs flying around in them. The night sky was only a little dark just a few minutes before sunset. My mom told me and bree to go with him to get food. We walked back down the three flights of stairs, and to a stand that sold cotton candy. My brother told us that's what he wanted, so I handed him the money and he got in line. While we were waiting the aroma started to hit my nose it smelt like I was standing in the middle of candy land. Bree looked at me and said “Are you board?” I answered, “Yeah a little.” We had a little bit of silence till I suggested “How about we go to the carnival in a little.” We agreed to that. Me and Bree walked back up the three flights of stairs with my brother and his cotton candy then asked my parents if we could go down to the carnival for the rest of the time. My mom handed me 20 dollars for the both of us and we headed down to the booth to get tickets. When we got down there the noise of the rodeo got drowned out by the sound of music, kids screaming, and the woosh of the huge rides catching wind. The sun was still up but not very much by the time we were there. It had the sky a nice yellow-orange color. We only got 3 tickets each but that was enough.
