“I believe in destiny. There must be a reason that I am as I am. There must be.” Robin Williams has touched so many hearts and inspired so many people. Robin Williams deserves to be in the Top 100 list of comedians for his multi talents and bringing new ideas to acting.
Robin Williams was born July 21, 1951. Growing up, he was raised by his mother, Laura McLaurin, who was a model and his father, Robert Fitzgerald Williams, who was a former senior executive at Ford Motor Company. His father traveled most of the time so he was with his maid the majority of the time. Robin, as a child, would always try to make his mother laugh for her attention which where he discovered his comedic talent. He attended The Julliard School in Manhattan New York. It was here where Robin Williams’ acting professor said he couldn’t teach him more, he had a natural talent. He has been married three times and has three children, Zelda Williams, Zachary Williams and Cody Williams, between two of his ex-wives. Robin Williams died at the age of 63 by committing suicide on August 11, 2014. He suffered from depression that he’s been battling for most of his life.

A few movies he felt this was true, was when Robin played the father in ‘Mrs. Doubtfire’ and ‘What Dreams Come’. “‘It was unrelentingly weepy and he was so cringe-inducing that if it were the only Williams film you ever saw, you would say, with confidence, that he would never make an actor’” (Norman, Singh, 2014).
