I am trying to raise funds for Robert Johnson's funeral costs. I have had the privilege of working with Rob for the past several years at the American Steakhouse in Dexter, Mo. And I consider myself lucky to have been able to call Robert my friend, one of the best friends I will ever have. Although at first, I thought he was so different and odd, I soon found him to be so kind and one of the most caring people I have ever met. He would literally do anything for you if he considered you his friend. His smile and laugh was contagious and he lightened the mood in any room he entered. Two weeks ago, Robs brother Chris came into work indicating Rob was ill and was not coming to work. This was very unusual for Rob, as he never missed work. After
a week had passed and he still had not felt better, we all began to worry. Myself along with his brother tried to take him to the hospital, but Rob being hard headed and with his distrust of doctors and hospitals, he flat out refused our offer. He took a turn for the worse and had to be transported by ambulance to the hospital. He only got to spend 4 short days in the hospital before we learned that Rob had cancer. It was already in his liver and his lungs. He passed away less than 48 hours after that at the young age of 39. Everyone is still in shock over this unexpected tragedy. His brother, Chris, had been taking time away from his job, also at the American Steakhouse, to be by his brothers side. And their mother, who is retired and also dealing with health issues of her own, had no way to prepare for the untimely death of their beloved son and brother. The funeral costs are $6000 with $3000 having to be paid before the funeral. We have set up a donation jar at the American Steakhouse that has generated $300 but is far from the needed payment to put their loved one to rest. Chris and their mother would greatly appreciate any help with Robs final expense!!

On July 11th, 1975 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin a doctor by the name of Lester V. Salinsky, performed a surgery on the plaintiff, James Johnson. The surgery was took place at Misericordia Community Hospital (Misericordia), defendant, by Dr. Salinsky. Dr. Salinsky was scheduled to remove a pin fragment from the plaintiff’s right hip. However, “during the course of this surgery, the plaintiff’s common femoral nerve and artery were damaged causing a permanent paralytic condition of his right thigh muscles with resultant atrophy and weakness and loss of function” (Johnson v. Misericordia Community Hospital, n.d.). The plaintiff filed suit against Dr. Salinksy and Misericorida on October 13th, 1976, fifteen months after his unsuccessful surgery, which
Another case is that of 17-year-old Kendrick Johnson whose death was initially ruled the result of accidental suffocation. A second autopsy produced a different conclusion, but when the second autopsy was performed, his body had been stuffed with newspaper, and his organs were missing ("Organ Trafficking, Melanin Theory & the Fountain of Youth -," n.d.). The brain, heart, lungs and liver were missing. He also discovered Johnson's death was due to blunt force trauma to the right side of his neck (Archer,
The Case of Robert Pickton is a long one, that may have started in 1978 when he was in his early 20’s. His involvement in the case of the disappearing women was only noticed after 1997 when Geographic forensics Dr. Kim Rossemo and the RCMP said there must be a serial killer in the Vancouver area. Pickton owned and lived on a pig farm in Vancouver British Columbia, with his brother David Pickton. They were known for their parties at the Piggie palace; which were large, dirty and filled with prostitutes and drugs. R. Pickton was a frequent around skid row and was known as a “good date”; he provided good money and drugs to prostitutes. When police showed prostitutes his picture in early 1999, they wouldn’t admit to knowing because of this. However, many prostitutes were scared of him. It was known that a fellow ‘prostitute’ and friend of Pickton’s Lynn Ellingsen was helping him get prostitutes who didn’t trust him out to the farm after the 1997 attack on Sandra Ringwald. The police received a tip in 1998 after over 15 women disappeared, but ignored it. The VPD then created Project Amelia to help find the women who disappeared, but it was a joke. When in jail before the trials, Pickton confessed to have killed 49 women to an undercover police officer and over 26 plus different women's DNA was found on what authorities had deemed his death farm. To hide the bodies, Pickton used a grinder to destroy the bodies and fed the women to his pigs and guests. Due to systematic and fundamental errors of the police, Robert Pickton managed to murder of over 26 female sex trade workers in seven years. The VPD was not involved enough in the disappearances of the women and many of the mistakes that happened within the investigation and departm...
Born in Port Coquitlam British Columbia, a suburb of Vancouver in 1949. Robert Pickton grew up on a pig farm with his family including his brother and sister. “The Canadian pig farmer turned serial killer, preyed on prostitutes and drug addicts from Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside luring them to his farm under the cover of a register charity ‘Piggy Palace Good Times Society’.” (New York Times 23 November 2003) Robert Pickton faced 15 murder charges in Vancouver’s missing women case in 2002, and in May of 2005 the Crown added 12 more first-degree murder charges against him adding up to a total of 27 charges.
On November 7th, 1943, Joni Mitchell was born as Roberta Joan Anderson in Fort Macleod, Canada. Her family eventually moved to North Battleford and then Saskatoon; both of which are cities in the Saskatchewan providence of Canada. She considers Saskatoon, Canada to be her hometown. At the young age of nine years old, Mitchell contracted polio, but she managed to recover and regain her ability to walk after a stay in the hospital. Joni Mitchell’s interest in folk music began in her adolescent years. She was self-taught on how to play the ukulele and ultimately, the guitar. Mitchell started performing at parties and among the folk songs sang were some original ones she wrote herself. Thus, Joni Mitchell’s songwriter and singer career began. She, however, was more interested in pursuing art at the time.
The study of Juvenile delinquency and the theories pertaining to it are vital for several reasons. In order to more effectively engage with youths and foster positive behavior and schemas, the individuals must first be understood. The study of theory provides a means of understanding adolescents and the factors that lead to or detract from delinquent behavior. In the case of juvenile delinquent, Jordan Brown, theory helps to provide insight into why an eleven-year-old boy murdered his stepmother.
My personal opinion on the Cary Gallant case is that the people on the top of the waiting list should be those who are youngest and most in need for a liver transplant. It should not matter if the person is an alcoholic or not, if they desperately need one they deserve to be at the top of the list. The reason why I say youngest is that the younger people have their whole life ahead of them, and if they need a liver transplant at a young age, they deserve to get one. We should not be judging the person with their relationship with alcohol, if there is a risk that they would not survive the six months of being sober, there is no reasonable reason they cannot be on the list. Besides, if I was in the position of Cary Gallant or another person with

1. In the Jackson’s case the District Court’s judgment was affirmed by the Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit on the ground that termination of electric services did not constitute state action. The Metropolitan Edison Co. was a private entity and was not subject to the due process requirements of the 14th Amendment based on the State Action Doctrine. Moreoever, in the Jackson case, Metropolitan Edison Co. was a private entity that did not receive any federal funding. In the Simkin’s Case both the hospitals, Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital and Wesley Long had received millions of funds through the Hill Burton Act and hence they were subject to the Constitutional guarantee of equal protection. Therefore, subject to the protections from racial

Mississippi is the state that it is today mainly because of the people in Mississippi. Mississippi is known for many things like slavery, cotton, juke joints, food, and other things especially the blues. There were a few people that made Mississippi famous for blues today. Such as Robert Johnson who is from Hazlehurst, Ms he’s one of the most famous Delta Blues musicians. Some call him the Godfather of rock and roll. Some say he sold his sold to the devil at a crossroad in the Delta in exchange for mastery of the guitar. He had the chance to record several records in Texas and he even traveled through Mississippi Delta and Arkansas. By that time he had died but six of his records had been released in the South as “race records”. His death occurred on August 16, 1938, exactly at the age 27 at a crossroad near Greenwood, MS; however, there is not an exactly known reason why or how he died. He was ranked 5th on the Rolling Stone’s list of 100 Greatest Guitarist of all time.
Sunday, October 15,2017 was an exciting day for me because I got to participate in a very important annual event that can help to save lives. This amazing event is the breast-cancer walk in Coney Island. This was my first experience in this kind of event. Before the event, my class started to raise money for this amazing cause, as I got help from friends and family and I completed my fund-raising goal. Overall, we surpassed the goal of five thousand dollars for this well-deserved caused that afflicts many women worldwide. The entire experience was filled with moments I can never forget. My classmates during the walk made it all worthwhile as they were engaged and excited about the cause as well. The people cheering on the sidelines, women
Every year he donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to the government, particularly the police force, to keep our country safe and thriving. And twelve years ago, when his mother died of breast cancer, at the age of 77, he put three million dollars out of his own pocket into cancer research and treatment. Despite his success, he kept his kind and charitable heart, and because of this he lived the best possible life he could and improved other’s lives while doing
Dave Armstrong is about to graduate from Harvard Business School and is facing three career options. The decision problem that Armstrong should be considering is not which of these three jobs should he take, but rather what job will satiate his career goals. By asking this, Armstrong can gain a complete perspective of his options instead of being confined to three career options that may not be in his best interests. His objectives are not clearly outlined in the case; however, we can infer from the manner in which he is describing the jobs that he would like to have ownership in a company, enjoys thrilling non-office jobs, and wants to grow his network. Also, he has to take into consideration his wife’s objectives for him of having a job
